Chuck having fun with students during a 2.5 hour "Shooting Clinic" after the conslusion of a No Fail Pistol class. Target was a swinging head plate on the shoulder of a "critical hit" hostage steel target. The moving USPSA was also a no shoot and was moving to stop on the edge and behind so a miss of the head plate left OR right would have struck a hostage. I had one or two that I favored away from the no shoot and missed high having to make a rapid follow up shot. I didn't hit the hostage on any of my runs though. We were competing for fastest clean hit so we pushed ourselves faster (playing a game) than we would ever be comfortable taking that shot in a real engagement.

I played it conservative the first round and took almost 6 seconds to make the shot. That time took second place on the first round, one of the guys did a 2.6 to 2.9ish time but i wasn't sure it was repeatable, so we shot again and I got this run (also not repeatable), and the student who beat me first round threw his shot (high and away from the hostage). Ragged edge of human performance..... but still fun to hang out there and play as long as you realize that its not the real world.
