Epicurious, as much as I appreciate the captions, I'm not a fan of how often Saúl's Spanish is transcribed as 'speaks a foreign language'. Slipshod captioning on the part of whoever transcribed this, especially since what he says in Spanish is typically clear enough to hear and understand for transcribers (and if you don't know the word ask a Spanish speaker for help?).

It’s not an Epicurious video without a Saúl “mic” drop!
@cyberpunkcentral85005 ай бұрын
I know it’s seen as somewhat of a “luxury” or “exotic” ingredient, at least for the most part in the non-rural U.S., but I just can’t warm up to duck. It’s tastes very “gamey,” slippery, and greasy to me and that’s a taste I do not enjoy. I’m also not partial to rabbit or lamb. I want to like duck because I’d like to enjoy famous dishes like Peking Duck and Duck à L’Orange, but after having it a few times in my childhood and really not enjoying the taste, I’m still hesitant to “give it another go.” Doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of these videos, though. 🦆 😊 🧑🍳

1:40 $12 for corn tortillas? $16 for an heirloom tomato? $3.50 for a carrot? $12 for a cinnamon stick?! NINE DOLLARS for a white onion? $7 for a single head of garlic? And I've never seen a whole duck cost more than $50 (& they're usually $30). *Where the heck y'all shopping?!* I get making the point about expensive being better than inexpensive but this stuff has to *deter* more people than it encourages, no? 🤷🤷♂🤷♀
