Massey 2607H with the 84" bucket makes digging a stump out a little difficult... but I'm doing it anyway...
Insert stump bucket sponsorship RIGHT HERE....lol

That was quite the sight to behold Logan. That was a super cool shot when you got it loose. Amazing work.

That shale doesn't give me much traction. I think I would have pulled it a lot earlier, but I spin very easily on the clay and shale. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I just love watching that awesome Massey tractor in action. It has a very unique sound.

Most people think it is idled really low, but most of the time I have the throttle set to 1100 RPM or so. The camera only picks up the harder knocking of the diesel... I think a dealer told me it was just the way these Perkins-wannabe copies (Simpson engines) sound when they have a slight load on them.

I kept thinking you were running the throttle way too low, thanks for the info

@@specificlee_forreal Lots of people think I run it around 600 or 700 (about minimum throttle), but I usually set it higher for better hydraulics. I don't, however, like running a gear tractor at PTO speeds when not running the PTO. It's too much of a drastic engagement to the clutch when I really don't need it. I'm hoping less shock makes it last a lot longer...??

@@FabbedFun that sounds like a great strategy when gears and clutches are involved. I even go easy on my Deere skid steer which is all electronic and hydro. Especially when spinning up high flow attachments, but I'm not out there running it every day.

Great job, it was impressive to watch you get the stump out and then move it

It ended up being bigger than I thought it would be. A stump bucket would have helped break some of the dirt away from it.

Great job Logan. I don't think a stump bucket would have done much on that monster. You need a stump grinder in your life. Woodland Mills makes a decent one for the price.

It might have been a little faster. Not sure. I'm planning on building one just to have a fabrication project and see how it works for me. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I noticed you dropped a log at the start 😳...🤣. I'm glad you were able to find the answer...😉 I agree a stump bucket would be great 👍🏻. Have a great week Logan 🙋🏼‍♂

I'm considering a stump bucket build... I really need to do an inventory of steel around here. I have a lot saved up, but not all of it is really useful... Thanks for watching, Luc!

That area was bulldozed pretty hard in 1974 after a tornado took out most of the houses in the area. I think they just scraped the hilltops clean and started over. Some places are 6" while others are about 2' before hitting very hard shale or rock.

What kind of tree was that. Here the oaks go deep in the ground.

Tons of hard shale in that area after just a few inches. Not much wants to grow in it. Thanks for watching!
