Tedious is probably the best way to describe it! Layers of mud and sticks, grasses, logs, stones, anything they can use!

That is a huge dam.

Yes, the lower one that I will investigate next is much longer but not as high!

There is a road kill festival in West Virginia. Any kind of game that ends up as road kill can be cooked. Contest for best recipe. No you don’t pick up the dead animals you have to hunt or trap one to eat. You might Russell up some beaver burgers.

I hear beaver is very good! But our trapper uses the meat to trap coyotes! He got a mostly red one the other day!

Water level below the dam seems really high. Is there a dam downstream?
@newhampshire-bob16042 жыл бұрын
Yes there is, I will be taking a look at that next!

Good job...however how much did the beavers build back up???
@newhampshire-bob16042 жыл бұрын
In three days it is now built back up to where it was. Need to get with the trapper on when he wants to go get them.

I like your attempt at removing the dam. I suspect you are over your head for your age and size. I am about the same size. With my health condition I would just offer some young man a $100.00 and let him loose. I have an idea he would have at least half of that dam removed top to bottom. Another option is ask around, there's got to be a farmer nearby with a backhoe.

Not looking to take the dam down completely just yet, just want to give them something to do until we start trapping. In the spring I hope to get the excavator back in there to really take it down!
