For cherry switches, most of the scratch comes from the stock spring, so if you bought a broken-in, lubed cherry switch, you should still make sure to swap the stock springs to TX or Geon as the stock springs are garbage and scratchy af. I usually spring swap cherry switches to lubed Geon springs. No lube on switch, use it for a couple of days, and most of the scratch is gone as they break in. After a few weeks of use, I don't even feel the need to take them apart to lube them.
