Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I've been holding off and doing lots of research, and from what I could find, it seemed the P7 was what I wanted. However, I still wasn't sure because no one does a real comparison of the details. I need it for doing fine art, and I need to see the details, so all I could do is make a guess by looking at the native resolution and the lumens. I really appreciate your help!

Great Job! bought a P7 for $350 on Amazon Renew. Seems most of the negative reviews are about fan noise and the lack of wireless connectivity or android os. Having a great picture is the #1 job of a projector so to me it could fail on all other fronts and still be a great projector if it does its primary purpose well. Such a good review in helping me make a choice, thank you

Great info to know before making the purchase. However, before I decide on the less-compact Aaxa p7, have you edited the image to increase the sharpness of it? Due to the graininess and shadow definition compared to the original image it does almost seem like it was edited. If not, then that’s great! I’ve used a friend’s nebula capsule a few times and was actually amazed with, not only the sound, but the resolution and brightness.. and that was just on the wall without a projection screen! I really love Anker. Especially for their compact designs. I’m not sure that this will sway me.. appreciate the video though!

Yeah, the P7 has a nice image. The other projector I like is the Nebula Mars II which occasionally goes on sale for under $400 on Amazon. It has a much longer battery life (up to 5 hours), built in Auto-Focus which is pretty cool and a really great built in speaker. It' won't be great in a lit room but if your room is dark you'll be more than happy. (I've compared it to the the Mars II PRO which is 200 lumen brighter but didn't really notice a difference in the brightness between the two) Here's a link to the Price Watch site which shows the price history and allows you to enter a target price then they will email you when the price drops: camelcamelcamel.com/product/B07BXDW18Z

I don't know much about the Kodak Luma but it seems to be 3 different projectors with 3 different brightness levels (75, 150 and 350 lumens) and three different prices. SBS Review, thanks for the reply! I was looking at the 350 for the WiFi/Bluetooth capability... I’m going to be deployed and stuck in a tiny room, so I figured I won’t need that much power. Have you ever reviewed any of the Vankyo products, particularly the 600 series? Considering the 620 but I am concerned about the light output
@sbsreview272
@sbsreview272 4 жыл бұрын
The Vankyo projectors seem very similar to all the other budget projectors in that price range. They can be plenty bright enough in a dark or dimly lit room but they typically lose focus near the edges of the image. If you can make your room dark with blackout curtains then most projectors will be adequately bright but if you plan on using it in a fairly bright room you may want to go with a more expensive projector. For a dark room I prefer the Nebula Mars II which can also run on battery power and has great speakers. It occasionally goes on sale for around $370 on Amazon (you can visit this site and put your target price in, they will notify you when the price drops: camelcamelcamel.com/product/B07BXDW18Z If brightness is a top concern then the Epson VS250 is very bright and costs around $300 but it has a lower resolution and you can actually see the individual pixels if you're looking for them.

@sbsreview272
@sbsreview272 4 жыл бұрын
That's a tough one depending on what your budget is and what your preferences are. For instance, the Nebula Mars II has great sound, great image quality, auto focus and a decent battery life but it's twice the price of the Optoma LV130 which has a lower resolution so it's difficult to determine which projector is "best". Hopefully the image quality review of the 28 projectors will help you make that decision.

Wow!!! Now this is a proper comparison of this little guys! To be fair I'm still between Aaxa P300 Neo and ViewSonic M1 for a budget under 300$.. After watching your video Aaxa P300 Neo is a clear winner for me in the image aspect. Att the same time it seems like M1 has a better sound and it's more user friendly (auto keystone, 360° rotation) from what I saw. If it's a first projector for home-only use that will not be connected to an external sound system, which one would you recommend? Also what would you say about Aaxa P6 vs P7, is it as good as a newer model? Thanks!

The Aaxa P300 Neo and the ViewSonic M1 are both great little projectors, I think you'd be happy with either. If size is not really an issue you may want to also consider the Nebula Mars II (auto focus, longer battery life and GREAT sound quality.) Amazon has it today (5/17/2020) as a "Deal of the Day" for only $369.99 - Here's the link: www.amazon.com//dp/B07BXDW18Z Aaxa P6 -vs- P7 - the P7 is the clear winner because of it's higher resolution (1920 x 1080 -vs- 1280x 800 for the P6)

All Aaxa projectors have a louder fan noise than most other projectors because they typically produce a brighter image and you need the stronger fan to keep everything cool. Help pls, I'm wanting to purchase a projector to be used for arts and crafts. I want to be able to outline words using different fonts too so clarity is important. Since large images and movement aren't important I'm hoping to stay around or under $200 if possible. Do you have a recommendation? Pls & thank you
@sbsreview272
@sbsreview272 4 жыл бұрын
$200 is a tough price point - typically you can get a bright projector but that can often produce an image that is not very sharp. For outlining fonts higher resolution would be better. If you prefer that it be battery powered I think the Aaxa P7 would be best but a used one costs over $300 on eBay (battery only lasts 90 min. but you can also plug it into a wall socket for unlimited run time.) For something under $200 that requires plug-in wall power (no battery) you could consider something like this: www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZNSPZWX

I’ll have to get the American made screen for the rear/front projection combo. Thanks again!

The focus dial is my least favorite feature of the Aaxa projectors. I tend to use an image of text to help determine when it's in focus.

SBS Review Thanks for the reply. I have just been focusing on text as well. The new Aaxa 4k1 seems to have a better solution for its focus. Cheers

You could check out the Laser Beam Pro C200 which is always in focus because it uses a laser to produce the image, or the ZTE Spro 2 which has a digital focus (but the image quality and brightness is lower than the Aaxa P7). Another nice projector is the Nebula Mars Lite with Auto focus (but it's quite a bit bigger than the P7)

Great video. How do you think aaxa p7 will compare to aaxa m5 or m6?
@sbsreview272
@sbsreview272 5 жыл бұрын
The Aaxa P7 has a higher resolution (True 1080p) and has a similar brightness to the M5. The M5 & M6 may be a bit brighter but you probably wouldn't notice it unless you compare them side-by-side - you will notice there lower resolution of the M5 and M6 -vs- the P7.

Hey! Im about to pull the trigger and buy either a aaxa p7, aaxa m6, or mars 2 pro... What would you go for???

I have a Mars II (not the pro) and I like it better that the P7 or M6 because of the auto focus, better sound and longer battery life (even though it is quite a bit bigger than the others). Yesterday Amazon had a "Deal of the Day" on the Mars II Pro for $369.99 so I ordered one and will be comparing the Mars II to the Mars II Pro in the next few weeks. There's a website called camelcamelcamel.com that allows you to paste the product page of an Amazon product you're interested in and it will show you a price history as well as let you enter a "desired price" then they will e-mail you when the price drops - that's how I found out about the "Deal of the Day" on the Mars II Pro.

Thanks, if you can, review the mars pro and aaxa p7 in comparison. I bought the aaxa p7, mainly for the picture. I got it for a steal (280). I had the original mars with 500 lumens, but wanted 1080p. I saw the aaxa p7 had better reviews than the m6 so, i snagged it. If I can, ill try and make a comparison vid. Thanks for your input, im really hoping the fan noise on max settings and the speaker volume arent too bad on the p7. Like i said, i purchased for picture quality and brightness (your vid helped a ton, thanks for going through the trouble).

The fan noise on all Aaxa projectors are a bit louder compared to other brands but that's because they are typically brighter so it requires more airflow to keep them cool. Some people are bothered by the fan noise but I don't find it that distracting (just white noise in the background). The speakers aren't bad but aren't up to Anker Nebula quality. For me, a good 720p projector is not that much worse than a 1080p projector unless you're using it for PowerPoint slides. However, not all 720p projectors are of equal pixel quality - I find the Epson "3 LCD" 720p projectors to be fairly pixilated where you can actually see each pixel from normal viewing distance. I also had a 7 year old Optoma PK320 Pico projector that was only 854x480 but you could hardly see the individual pixels at all.

What about stands for one of the screens you posted a link for? Any particular screen holder?

I Would recommend LimoStudio Heavy Duty Backdrop Stand (with 1.4" thick poles) which is currently selling for about $55. Amazon ASIN #: B00E6GRGKG But keep in mind that if you're using it indoors the "feet" of the stand are almost 3 feet wide so you will need to make sure you have enough room.

Why would I get an Aaxa P7 over the $250 chinese projectors that have native 1080p but are 5-7000 lumens?
@sbsreview272
@sbsreview272 5 жыл бұрын
The Chinese projectors are not really 5-7,000 lumen they are much less bright and even if they are 1080p they often have lower quality optics (lenses) which produce an image that is blurry around the edges.

@@sbsreview272 Thanks, I ended going with a second hand BenQ w1070 as my first projector.
@sbsreview272

That's a good choice with a very good image quality. The W1070 has been my main projector for the last several years until the bulb burned out. I tried replacing it with a generic bulb but it caused it to overheat so I upgraded to a different BenQ.

I typically use the "Factory Setting" to do the comparison videos so I don't really have any custom recommendations. Did you get a spandex screen? Looks like they are back in stock: www.amazon.com/dp/B00A81S4YU

The screen it designed to let light through so you can also use it for rear projection. I think you'll find that it is actually brighter than most other screens.
