I currently have a 2020 TRD off road Tacoma in Quicksand and this over all set up seems like the cheapest $2,700. In upgrades that I would be happy with! Maybe a full add a leaf pack in the back for a future go fast camper or other similar product to handle the weight.

looking at a similar setup for my 2016 OR.. looking at the OME BP51's sometime next summer.. for now i'll roll with the stockers.. at least I have some decent AT's.. yokohama geolandar AT's... for now I am going to get my RTT, front bumper/winch, and a rear bumper, as well as some sliders. then I will lift and do tires... already have some 1.25" hub centric spacers & extended thread nuts.. havent found a wheel that i really like other than the stockers.

As long as you torque it appropriately. Have run spacers for many years never an issue on or offroad or at the track. Currently have OEM wheels on my Tacoma with 285 75 16 tires and 1.50 inch spacer for 2 years no issues at all. Make sure to buy a hub centric spacer and you will be fine.

Just noticed spacers after watching twice. My spydertrax were blue didn’t notice black...yep needle bearings crapped out on my 2010 same set up.. just sold w 275,000 miles $11,500...can’t beat a taco....

Brother I wish this guy would answer that question. I just ordered these tires for my 2021 Tacoma. I was told I might need 1.5 inch spacers. I’m lifting my truck 3” in the front and 2” in the back. Seems when using the STOCK wheels on the 3rd Gen Taco's and adding 265/76/R16 (31.6" tires), they fit without a lift and no rub, and still look good with a 2 - 2.75" lift. These 285/75/R16 (32.8" tires) (or commonly referred to as "33's") always need a cab mount chop and other trimming to work with a 2 - 2.75" lift. Except in THIS video, they don't do the CMC, they just toss spacers on and that's a wrap? If it's THAT simple, then why are there a gazillion videos showing CMCs being done to accommodate 33" tires? Frustrating.

I just had a 3” in the front and 2” in the rear installed in a new 2021 Tacoma. Not hockey puck spacers but new struts and coil over lift. Planning on ko2s 285/75/16 on the stock TRD wheels. We did a test fit and big disappointment. Cleared fenders but hit the upper control arm. Wheel spacers would have been my only option and I have no interest in spacers. Left shop with ko2s 265/75/16. Same size that’s on my stock 2009 Tacoma. Not sure how these guys do it but I think there’s a lot of Tacoma’s out there rubbing. Before you dive into this really do your homework, I thought I did but I was wrong.

@@BrettL250 it will clear the control arm but the spacer will push your tire out of the fender well and you probably will have some fender rub and on the cab mount. Your best option is a new wheel with -12 offset which is like using a 1/2” spacer. Kind of a happy medium of getting away from the control arm but not so close to the fenders like the 1 1/2” spacer will do. I’ve heard vibrations problems and wheel bearing problems with spacers and I don’t like the look of the tires outside the fender. Another option is 17” wheel with 275 tire or go with what they call pizza cutters and put 255 on your stock 16 wheel. You can get a full 33” tire that way no rubbing. After driving mine with the 265/75r16 ko2 for a few miles I’m much happier than at first. Drives great, maintain my fuel mileage of about 19 mpg and my Speedo meter is on and no worries about regearing or front wheel bearings. Hope this helps.

With that set up I would try and go with the shortest bolt on spacer possible. I believe you can get a 3/4” and that should clear everything

I’ll call the 4 Wheel Dr. parts store and see if I can change it to 1 inch instead of an inch and a half. I should be good with that right? I still don’t see how even if the tires stick out past the fenders they can touch the fender with a 3 inch lift kit or even without it. These tires I’m putting on only add an inch and a half overall to the size.

Well, if the stock size was 265/70-16, then this setup means that when the speedometer shows 70 mph, they're actually going 75.1 mph. Definitely gonna want to recalibrate it!
