This is one of the best episodes up to date. Jessica really brought out the side of Tim that that we all came to know and love. Behind the comedy there’s just a man who understands the pain of life and makes the best of it by taking responsibility for himself and finding the humor in it all. All while dealing with Ben’s shenanigans- a hero we can aspire to be!

I don't agree with them that it was "real", "so unlike Seinfeld". I think of that show, how so often they put themselves into some weird, absurd situation, observe the nonsensical philosophical musings that can be drawn from it, stuff that just happens for a day's events and then it's over, next episode they're back to the same starting place -- typical sitcom thing but Seinfeld dwelled on it explicitly, focusing on the "show about nothing", but a lot of it often was the nonsensical, brief happiness over nothing, etc. Plus he's one of those comedians who isn't just a Jewish comedian, but he's *_very_* Jewish about it. I dunno, it sounds *_exactly_* like Seinfeld to me, but he'd be right if it was focusing on how it _isn't_ like other comedians, in that it's not coming from the sorrow and angst of a rough existence, as with all of the "real" "best comedians". Ofc that's also why Jews are often brilliant comedians, the "rough existence" is more about their awareness of the world they live in, the history of it, past and recent, etc. Joking about the nonsense, cruel whims of fate or w/e, even as they aren't living through them.

Tim isn’t “the greatest gay comedian”. He’s just a “great comedian”. His sexuality doesn’t transcend his humor and that’s why his material is good.

He is the greatest gay comedian because his sexuallity doesn't transcend his comedy. We shouldn't celebrate his sexuallity or act like he's the greatest gay comedian because gays have been kept out of industry. We should celebrate and make the point to other gays that no one is keeping them down or cares about their sexuallity so stfu and do what you want. As a gay man it's annoying af that we complain that we are only seen as our sexuallity while we make everything about it qt the same time
