i like that byakuya basically was getting over the fear essentially but then it showed he still had a type of fear losing rukia his fear essentially is failing or losing those close or near him is what i got he accepted that there is fear in battle but fear of rukia dead the illusion got the best of him

It's like stern ritter F said.. Fear is not an emotion it's an Instinct. Hence why Byakuya couldn't overcome it and the Rukia image basically clarifies that fear is not something you can just ignore it by showing no fear in a battle. The analogy of explaining fear is on point.

Yhwach is pronounced several ways... lol. Its based of the christian god "YHWH"...note that there are no vowels in original Hebrew text...so scholars used vowels to fill the name in and make it easier to pronounce. The Quincies have a German/Nazi motif, so the way Yhwach would be pronounced commonly is (You - Vaak) as the "w" is pronounced as a "v" in German (Dirk Nowitzki is a great example of this). However.. In Japan, I think the "v" is pronounced as a "b" so.... In Japan his name is translated as (You - Ha- Baak) but it sometimes said as (Joo - Ha - Baak). I honestly think its so awesome that a villains name is ancient and can be translated different ways, it really makes its special and divine, that people dont know the exact translation.

People keep trying to make logical arguments about how Byakuya could have fought more optimally when they fail to realize a good portion of the episode was about how Byakuya was being consumed by As Nodt's fear~ He was screaming and slashing wildly which should show enough that he could no longer think straight at that point.

They would've made this scene much more impactful and terrifying for the viewer if they went ahead with the Manga's version of how Byakuya was left, with his ribs showing and some internal organs ( I believe the lung ) visible.
