Thank you for the session, however what can be done if the tasks are overlapped - this might not be able to give the correct #of days.

@@ankitajain9194 You are right this is kind of visually fooling excel to show you a task bar. In case of overlaps create a seperate series for overlapped tasks.

How to do the same for staggered tasks.. Say Task A starts on Jan 1 and ends on Jan 31.. Task A is followed by Task B which starts on March 1 and Ends on March 31?

I was wondering the same thing. Try subtracting the March 1st start date of the second task by the Jan 31st end date of the first task. Whatever difference you obtain, add this new data series (the # of days between the end of task 1 to the beginning of task 2) to the gantt chart and make sure it has no colour fill. Now you should be able to add the durations for the Mar 1st task after that.
