There’s a distance like close to a quarter or third of the distance where it’ll snap to ledge. Any more than that you’ll go the full way up. Play around with it in training mode and you’ll get it

Nobody is mad. Shield art basically negates all of clouds greatest strengths and he’s also is one of the few to easily out range cloud. The noobs are the shulk mains who don’t know the definition of a counter pick. Much of why Sparg0 lost not because he was “out skilled”. Shulk is one of clouds top counter-picks in the entire game.

Dislike Bot 15 Shulk isn’t broken, not at all really. Basically every character has techniques in this game or a mechanic that seems broken just because people exploit it a lot. Even low-mid tiers have things that can come off as broken. It seems broken against certain characters such as cloud who it’s basically perfect against but it wouldn’t be as advantageous against say a snake main who doesn’t specialize in melee range and mult-hits. He’s simply just a kryptonite for cloud mains

Damm sad to see sparg0 out I hate this matchup. When I was at a local I used cloud vs a shulk dude and the shulk dude beat me twice but then the third time I faced him I used roy and almost beat his shulk. Shulk is annoying because he breaks frame data speed, smash, jump, and buster are annoying to deal with the shulk dude takes damage in those modes but can deal great damage if your not careful. Good job on sparg0 this is not the first time hes faced a shulk player but nicko is a good shulk. Hes been playing shulk since smash 4. I think sparg0 just for this matchup get a secondary.

You're exaggerating a little. Like, Spargo's god-tier, but it's not like he necessarily picked it up in less time than any other player. If he's been playing at locals since a really young age, then he could've just fundamentally absorbed the game differently than others. Being a teenager in an Esports scene that's existed for about a year isn't that weird, either. It's not like there's any physical or mental gap that would otherwise exist in other games.

Gatchu Now When I was 13, I played smash Everyday and I won like 25% of my matches. I’m 18 now and play smash probably 3-4 hours a week and I rarely lose online. Brain development makes you a better player. He’s gonna be able to read his opponents a lot quicker in a couple years

@@luigixroxas Yes, you get smarter over time, in the sense that your values change and your mental capacity increases. That has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Smash. Smash boils down to experience, reaction time, and predictions. The reason players get better as time goes on is because they're getting more experienced, not because they're older and therefore smarter. Kids suck at the game because they A.) don't have any experience, and B.) don't know about or value basic concepts like neutral, because they only play to have fun. There is absolutely nothing stopping someone as young as Spargo from being a top-level player, it just requires an unorthodox environment to grow up playing in. The reason people get better is because their values change, and they get more experience, NOT because their brains magically get better at smash. The reason that YOU SPECIFICALLY got better at Ultimate is because there's A LOT of overlap between Smash games, and it only required you to get used to new mechanics.

Reason why Shulk puts his sword in his back is reference to Xenoblade where you walk long distances and draw the sword out when it is necessary. That feature makes Shulk even more unique. We have like 20 swordsmen who wield the sword like normal

When you're in battle, you always have your weapon out, otherwise they might as well have characters that charge into battle with their guns unloaded, cause it'll be unique. On another note, it's not like the sword types fight the exact same way, and it's a shame we don't have a dual-wielder among them.

My guy, he literally DOES NOT HAVE ANY FAST MOVES. Other sword characters can punish people for hitting their shield, or stop a combo with a quick aerial. Shulk has nothing like that. Without shield, he gets combo'd worse than most heavies.
