8:02 haven't checked the comments yet (to avoid spoilers), so I'm not sure if someone else has already commented this. Nicko likely switch to Jump art for one of two reasons. Either one, he thought VoiD would delay his u-air to bait out an airdodge, so switching to jump art preemptively would allow him to safely jump out of disadvantage, or two, he switched because, thanks to the changes of Shulk's properties when he switches to jump art, he can actually survive a bit longer vertically. This, however, would be invalidated since Jump art makes you take more damage (similar to buster) and Joker's u-air is a multi-hit move. Nicko might not have thought of that in the heat of the moment. Overall, Shield art would've been a much better choice. Nicko probably thought it was on cooldown, though. P.S. Jump art actually makes Shulk fall much faster, not slower, as the commentator said. Edit: Also, Jump art does NOT make Shulk lighter (as the commentator said), just more damage. Edit 2: 14:25 What he said here was sort of true. Shield art depletion is not damage dependant, it depends on how many hits Shulk takes. That's why pummels, multi-hit attacks, and multi jabs are very effective in draining Shield art (and also some throws like Pika f-throw).
