Glad the tradition is evolving in Korea where the ladies don't have to slave all holiday. We did a Lunar New year thing yesterday and I felt good helping cook a couple dishes and getting things prepared on the table. Teamwork makes the dream work :D. Happy Lunar New Year!

I still cannot believe that most Korean households have 2 refrigerators - living in the states, this is also common, but partly it is due to the size of our homes. People keep an extra fridge in the garage, for example. But this is NEXT level. The food (and amount of food)!!! I know it was all delicious. I am so jealous just watching you all eat! LOL. Hearing Kyuho's mom's story made me remember my mom's. My dad's mom used to be the same. For example, when they were newlyweds, she would always criticize her for wanting to go visit my maternal family. It's because for them once you get married, the girl is considered not a part of her old household anymore but the guy's. Anyways, so excited for your book channel.😁

I always watch your videos extra times when you feature your MIL especially during a special celebration. Her 3 fridges are a feast for the eyes, and she was so cute, trying to downplay it all by saying it's only this full of things as it's the holidays, hehe! Sarah's scones look incredible! I love how you bake delicious goodies with quite the most basic baking tools in your kitchen. Kuddos to you! I love holiday feasts. In my country, most holiday feasts are reserved for religious holidays. I am not a religious person, but I still love to celebrate them, just because we cook delicious food and we share it with family. However, I appreciate that you shared the other side of the coin. We all are proud of certain cultural traditions, but it doesn't mean that some toxic and weird behaviours aren't hidden in those. It's important to address those. I am happy that our generations and new ones are breaking off some cycles. P.S. Kyuho's mom is always a nice addition to your videos. Would love to see her as a regular. Happy Lunar New Year!
