Calves don't always seem to work that way. I've seen people train calves like crazy, and they don't get much bigger as opposed to when they barely train them. As long as your squatting and leg pressing and what not, but the isolation on calves all the time never seems to do a whole lot. It depends on the person though. Some people might respond to tons of hard calf training it's just rare, and some just have big calves with no training of calves. I guess a lot of it has to do with them being a small muscle.

@@billj4525 nonsense no one today trains calves like they do arms, chest, back etc! Arnold had the most terrible calves ever until he prioritized them!!! He turned his weakest bodypart into one of his strongest!!!!

Yeah, I don't know his exact squat, but his legs in general are strong as hell. I have seen him squat and leg press with Larry Wheels and he has always had real strong legs.

A while, but probably not too insane. I used to train like that as a natural and if your body is used to it the recovery is not as long as you would think. I would be sore two or three days once I got used to it, but when I wasn't I would be sore 5-7 days lol, and he's on gear so he would probably be sore two days at this point. Your joints start to hurt a lot if every leg workout is that crazy naturally though and your risk of injury is super high, so I stopped pushing that hard all the time. For Andrew this is the perfect intensity in my opinion for growth though. Great workouts Andrew has.
