The dual wall tip reminds me of a Borla style it looks good, but I miss the 4 inch tip I love how the diameter got bigger towards the end of the tip like a trumpet lol but I feel like a JZ needs 4 or 5 inch tip in my opinion it fills out the diffuser better you should’ve just added a resonator or muffler with a cut out valve if you wanted it to be quieter that would be sick keep it up kalvin. I love the content brother can’t wait for the GTR to be done. I love your attention to detail no rush that cars gonna be maculate when you’re done. 🤙🏻 🛞💨

The dual wall tip is badass. I would do that. But I would definitely make sure to put some kind of soft spacer in between toward the middle, to keep vibration down. Cuz that would suck for it to have some kind of weird resonance. And honestly it sounds way toned down between the old exhaust and the new one. It's probably just a frequency that isn't blocked by your sound deadening

I'd go with the twin wall tip, you don't see that often. As for the drone when driving, resonators fix that usually.

If you want to minimize the drone I'd do some sound detenting in the trunk and add a vibrant muffler or resonator in the middle of the exhaust

I also like the dual walled look. I think if you want to get drone out, you should move the resonator further up the exhaust system, perhaps after the down pipe. Love this car, It's what made me 2jz swap my 96' slicktop. I miss that thing. :/ I need another Z32 in my life.

I went through 4 different exhausts on my R32 GTR before I found one that didnt suck. All of them droned except the HKS Super Turbo. It still flows well, looks great and sounds great above 4000rpm but is relatively quiet until that point.

If you keep having issues with bolts and nuts loosening over time, you can use a nord-lock shim to make sure it stays. hella expensive tho.

Turbo bolts are still gonna loosen. I had the same issue til I found some stainless steel inverted hex bolts and a hex socket to crank down on em and haven't had an issues since and it's been 2 to 3 years now lol

I just need to weld in a flex in the exhaust. The vibration just rattles them loose haha.

I wish you bored out the 3” so the muffler could be a true 3.5 it might be a restriction down the road when you tune. Get a HKS hi-Flo they are nice and quiet but loud when you load it up!

Well since you put the resonator at the very end of the exhaust, it wouldn’t do too much to the drone. I would put that resonator after the downpipe imo
