Interesting question about why we watch your videos. Originally it was because I needed the tutorials on how to do the stitches, then it was because I fell in love with your work and your process. Now, what thrills me and helps me the most is indeed your reflections on how you work, how you overcome creative and mental difficulties - that's the bit that I struggle with the most and hearing your thoughts on those issues really helps me. I also, after getting to know you and love you find it's wonderful to be able to sit here and cheer you on as you work

Haha!! Oh Laure hope is definitely NOT lost on you, you beautiful, fabulous, talented, gorgeous friend. Thank you for this lovely comment. I will continue then as I have been, sprinkling my crazy, nonlinear, creative journey with things that work and the things that definitely don't and everything in between! Sending you LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! ❤️❤️❤️

Please keep doing what you’re doing! I love how you described becoming fearLESS instead of fearFUL. I also love the evolving method you’re using to make your vessels - it might be more difficult but it’s also a journey, bumps and potholes included. It makes the work much more spontaneous and expressive I think 💕😊

I love what you do in all the aspects of your videos. Your vids are like slowstitching, you start with the main idea of your goal and then you let your mind, at the moment, take over. Hearing you talk about the ups and downs as you move thru provide the courage to the rest of us to continue. I find trusting my intuition enhances my creativity. Thank you for sharing

I dont think they have a brick and mortar, would visit if I could. Imagine how much you’d spend if there!!!!! Their home base is in Perth which is a 5 hour flight from my east coast to their west coast. Lovely photography definitely - I bought some of the stainless steel blend to crotchet with. Very fine - made great flotsam and jetsam in a piece I made. I’ll send email today with some photos. Just wonderful.

I love watching your video's for all the content, not just the craft aspect. I love to do Saori weaving, and one of the four slogans they teach is "look out through eyes that shine" which is what you're doing, I feel. I've started applying this concept to all my craft work, and the results are amazing. I think we're all born with a creative streak, but as we grow up, it's often buried in being told everything has to be perfect or just so. We become fearful about what others might think about our work, which is a shame that, as individuals, we all have a lot to offer the creative world. The second vessel is looking amazing!

Thx so much. Yes, definitely unfortunate that we learn, quite early, to stop playing and take things more seriously. ❤️

Hi Ariane, I don't think you need to map it out. What I think is needed is making a pattern of the size that goes around easily forming somewhat of a general mode, made of paper. I think you can still design the material in your creative fashion, adding darts where you want things popping off the pattern . You know me! I'm just soaking up your creativity and thought process.💕🥰
@ArianeZurcher2124 ай бұрын
Yes, this is along the lines of what I've been thinking. Not that it all needs to be thought through in advance, but the basic shape could be thought through before diving into the deep end. Though I do love diving into the deep end without a life jacket! It's pretty much how I've lived my life ❤️❤️😂😂

I started following you when you first started your videos. The way you stitched was a revelation as to how much fun could be had, your style was very playfull and different to anything I had seen before. You made stitching a joy for me. So pleased that you are back. What I tune in for is seeing your work, the way you use colour and stitch, amazing. I was so engaged with your last piece I made my first ever comment on u-tube. With regard to what you are trying to achieve in your vessel, I don't think is can be done without using several pieces and joining them, if I can find an example I will send you the link. Your videos are wonderful as they are, don't try to be what you think others would want, be authentic. Do you think trying to create content for patreons and viewers, contributed to burnout? Many have said that trying to monetise a hobby led them to hate it. I wish you well as you go forward.
@ArianeZurcher2124 ай бұрын
Aw... that makes me happy Karen. So glad you're here and commenting. As far as trying to create content for patron etc contributing to burnout - absolutely. That was actually a HUGE factor. Thank you for reminding me of that. ❤️

@ArianeZurcher2124 ай бұрын
Yup, might give it a try next time. Also as I've been thinking about this, having an end measurement for the top and knowing about what the height will be, could also be a more organic way of working. Just having those measurements would have changed how I went about shaping this one. ❤️

Hm, I commented but it’s not showing up to me. Sorry if this is a repeat. What about a gathering stitch near the top?? I’ve got the books and today was a completely different day for me, and I’ve only done the first two pages in the thin Love Yourself 30 day challenge book! ❤. Watching your early KZbins to you moving from the folky wools to improv linens to the mixed media which I totally questioned, but now seeing it added to the improv. Working flat to sculpture. The question you posed..........straight up creation videos OR a video that encompasses self love and developing positive attitudes towards yourself and self growth.............well...........I think that they need to go hand in hand. That they need to be discussed on the level that you are presenting them both. Neither has been "thumped" in-your-face to us. The way that you present handwork and embroidery is how it should be..........in practical application mode. Practical application is a process that includes auditioning and mistakes and learning........and you're transparent about all of these processes. That's the encouraging part. Because that IS where WE live!!!!!!!!!!!! so why pretend that we don't and you don't. We have enough fake stuff bombarding us on a daily basis. It's refreshing to have your approach. I'm looking for the other side of the coin.........hearing how you managed to get through your two year hiatus, how travel inspires you, and how you have resolved it all to come on the other side of it all. There are a number of us who are in the same boat. Your craft and art and design and self love are all totally acceptable because of your delivery process.............because of your willingness to be transparent and not be a clinical patronizing stuck up. Thanks for being YOU. SOOOOOOO back to your piece............your mess as you are calling it.....If the piece is a mess as a vessel, it certainly passes the muster for fabulous textures, and stitches and colors....so many luscious colors that play so well together. I am awe struck with the wonder of it all. What an investment in creativity and time. Thank you so much for sharing this process with us. Be careful calling it a mess..........because it is the work of your hands. xo

❤️❤️❤️Alice ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you, thank you! BTW: I think what I said, was, "this is how I FEEL - a jumbled mess" but I meant more that it was in a big messy pile on my work table as I was trying to figure out which part to begin working on. I definitely don't think it's a mess. I'm really loving it and am wondering how this next few days will unfold as I'm certainly getting close to putting it all together! Very exciting. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I always love reading your thoughtful and loving comments. You're wonderful. ❤️

@@ArianeZurcher212 OK......my misunderstanding. I feel better that you don't consider it to be a "mess". It can be daunting sitting in a pile like that.........hehehehehehehe.
