I love the way Miss Ellie dresses with sweaters and pearls, the simple skirts and pumps. I'm in my mid-60's, and I'm thinking that I should probably look at that style. It's so simple and classic. You could still get away with that look today.

Jim Davis was a great guy- He and Victoria Principal grew very close- He had a daughter that looked near identical to Victoria and she died in a car accident about 6 years before Dallas premiered. When he died, a picture of his daughter and Victoria was placed in his casket.

Jock only came clean about his first wife Amanda because he wanted to make sure that her medical bills and anything else, would be taken care of when he died. Like he said, when he was shot while dove hunting, he realized that he wasn’t going to live forever. Miss Ellie was reacting this way because she had breast cancer. Great acting and writing..

Not really at this time Jock didn't know Ray was his son. He did tell Miss Ellie after the War about the affair and that Ray was Margaret's son when Ray came to Southfolk after his mother's death. But Jock assumed Amos Krebbs was Ray's father not himself.

My older brother started smoking in his late teens and could never quit, even after doing stints in the smoke-free environments of incarceration in county jails and state prisons. He admitted that each morning upon awakening while incarcerated, he craved for a cigarette. The first purchases he made upon release from incarceration was to buy cigarettes. Imagine being smoke-free for a year or two and not shaking-off the cigarette addiction. Both of our parents were smokers, but they managed to quit in the last years of their lives. Remarkably, Mom's respiratory system was in fine shape when she passed away at age 83. My dad, not so.

Miss Ellie reacted as most people would if told their husband left their first wife do to her being sick... yet at the time she didn't fully understand what Amanda was going through untill they went to see her. Amanda was out of touch and living in the past which is why she saw Bobby as Jock.

I remember hearing this heartbreaking Story in Essence (America's Longest Running African American Publication) in which a Woman was doing the Laundry and she saw Blood in the Back of her Husband's Underwear. She found out he was on The Down Low and had to go for a HIV Test. She was "Negative" but shortly afterwards she had to divorce him. Also Dallas was the Second Soap Opera to deal with Breast Cancer. The First was The Young & The Restless where The Mother Of The Brooks Sisters had a Mastectomy. On General Hospital Monica Quartermaine had a Mastectomy and Lillian Raynes and Reva Shayne both had Cancer to deal with.

I hated the decor of the show in the first few seasons it was not representative to me of the vast wealth of the ewings- bobby and pam’s bedroom was worse than jr and suellen’s - the only part of southfork that was done in good taste was the dining room and the staircase with chandelier going upstairs which is reminiscent of the foyer in graceland- why on earth did jr bobby and pam drive mercedes and a porsche but suellen drove that homely station wagon? made no sense to me

The only real man in that Ewing family was Bobby. Unlike J. R. and Jock he had a sense of integrity.
