I had an 85 CR125 and the best thing I ever did for it was get a Pro Circuit pipe for it. It removes the ATAC valve from the system and greatly increases the top end. My ATAC had broken teeth and didn't work, the bike was very low end. After rebuilding the top end and putting the pipe on, it was like a whole new bike! I miss my red devil... should of never sold it.

Great fix! This little bike goes way back to my time, moto-crossing and trials riding. One addition to your videos I think I'd find interesting, is a peek inside the spark plug hole with a tiny bore camera, and look at the piston, cylinder walls and all, when the plug looks that rusty. Those little scopes are real cheap now, either standalone with their own display, or one connects to your phone. Looking forward to your next one!

Ehh I mean as long as he's honest when he sells it, I'd be more concerned if he was selling street legal motorcycles to people but most of his bikes are decent projects for someone else to finish up. If he throws some decent tires and tubes on it a handy person or bike mechanic could finish that thing up for a couple hundred bucks themself, some new reeds, maybe a jet kit, a new chain, and little neck bearings and other cheap bits if needed. It's not like he's a dealer/bike shop either he's probably just posting them on Facebook marketplace and craigslist.

The butterfly valve in the ATAC port will break off and get lodged into the exhaust pipe. Remove it (the can) and fab a "cap" to seal it over. The bike will run great without it and isn't needed. I raced an '86 model with this done and it was a holeshot machine vs newer machines in the early 90's

Ya it the least I can do. Is to share some of my own knowledge.with others out there one things like that to bro. That's what it's all about to me.,or at least how I see it anyways. The way that it should be in life. Help out were you can when you can. Never ask for anything in return for doing it at all. Only ask for what you really need.,or half to have to live on in life is all. That's my modo in life has been.& will be until my time on earth is done to. And don't steal people's tools& outboard motors like some folks have done to me 28 years ago. Thats for anyone cause karma will ketchup to them folks in life even if they don't believe in karma at all. You don't half to believe in it to make you A believer in it at all in life. There is good karma.& there is bad karma to in life. Espcailly to tool& outboard motor thevies out there in the world. Hi Joe, I've been watching you for a while now, it's really inspiring content and with each video I learn something new! Was observing the last few videos and noticed KZbin is doing the same to you as it once was to me. Did you know if you export your videos in a higher resolution, KZbin won't degrade the conent as much, meaning the quality for viewers is increased? So 1080p uses one bitrate/codec, and 1440p or higher uses a higher bitrate and codec? I noticed my videos were being pixelated especially with Gopro footage until I startd uploading at 1440p. Now they're much clearer, Just quick tip :) - Jake

** That's a semi rare pipe set up. You really had to tune to it and jetting was constantly changing...but it made some quality power mid and tall. Big sprocket was probably to compensate the low ramp range. digger power vs bogging coming out of first to second on a tight track. Cheers

That's definitely a really clean survivor and a decent deal for sure if it needed a rebuild it would still been a great deal. Your garage is kinda like mine lol gotta move things around just to get enough room to work on things.

Good score on this bike! A fresh air filter should be all it needs, along with fresh fluids & sparkplug. Thanks for a cool video Joe!

Love the sound of those. That's what I used to race mx on as a kid, had a yz to but the cr 125 was the best, easy to work on to.

I have a tip for you seen as your often repairing intake boots. Try windscreen bonder. Comes in tubes like silicone sealant. It’s super strong and slightly flexible once set. Hell if it can hold a windscreen into a car it should seal a boot crack permanently.

I think you mean windshield. And what you are talking about is window weld. It's urethane. Also ultra gray silicone is the the best for anything...
