Quick tip, when undoing tight bolts ect use the shortest possible extension or if possible put the socket directly on the rachet or breaker bar, it stops any chance of the socket rounding the bolt head/nut or slipping off the bolt/nut. Keep up the good work, enjoying watching you working on all the different bikes. I wish I had the same diversity of bikes available to buy and repair here in the UK 🇬🇧

That doesn’t make any sense at all. Extension or not makes no difference with hand tools.

Awesome find, i was really close to buying a cr125 that only needed clutch rings for 600 but it got sold before i could meet him so i bought my kdx200 instead that i ordered a carb and air filter for it but i only have 200 bucks to get clutch rings, rear shock rebuild kit and bearing and seals for all the rear linkage. Hey buddy LOVE YOUR CHANNEL I have recently restored my old race bike after getting it back from the guy I sold it too. Not trying to tell u what to do but I noticed a screw that was missing on the outer clutch cover. On my 90 CR 125 it’s a oil check screw with a crush washer. It could cause you to loose oil if you’re not careful. I watch a lot of your videos man keep up the good work

Make sure you take those two star bit screws out of the jet BLOCK, there’s a gasket there and at that age it’s defiantly bad and check the idle circuit holes as well. My old 99 rm250 had a clogged hole in fuel circuit causing it run rich. Just fyi

If you have alot of metalic debris in the oil you should drain as much as possible then fill the crankcase up with diesel fuel remove the spark plug and turn it over about 10 times then wait 10 mins and repeat a few times. Then drain it out and let it sit overnight with the drain plug removed. It won't remove every piece but it will remove the majority of it. Fill it with cheap oil and run it until it's warm then drain it again then put good oil in it. Use a magnetic drain plug to keep the pieces trapped.. a new clutch will make shavings in the oil by the way.

I bought a 1997 Suzuki RM 250 for $ 950.00. When I bought it, I couldn't get it to start, so I brought it to the dealer. They got it running, but it fouled plugs every ten minutes. Must have had leaking crank seals. All these old bikes are going to need major work unless they were recently rebuilt.

The way that mixed your screw. Was set that engine had to be running wing. That or it's way overjetted, and then they had to lean it down that much to get it to run. That's the only 2 things I can figure if was either run.And super lean burning up the piston or it's so overheaded that they had the lean it out like that

they vibrate like hell and you don't really gain nothing. the quad motor was designed for a quad, the dirtbike motor for a dirtbike. the dirtbike engine makes more power on paper, but doesn't have the low end grunt you need for a quad. hence the reason every manufacturer made their dirtbike engines a little different then their quads.
