These are magnificent, y’all - really well done! Makes me want to try some angle grinder woodcarving. What sorts of wheels did you use for the shaping?

Many thanks! I used a wood carving disc, also known as wood shaping disc. My angle grinder can use up to four inch discs so I got a set of them. They are pretty aggressive but that is what you need when you are carving something like this. The learning curve wasn't too steep and I was surprised by how much control I had. Highly recommend!

Great question! I just put the cow on the scale and it is 36 pounds. Cow is slightly heavier because udder. They are beefy stools but we wanted them to be able to stand up to abuse.

Those are great! Are you planning any other animal leg stools for the table?

Not for the table but we've been talking about a frog or duck. Two legs would require different construction, probably metal, so it's on our long-term planning list.

@@idiotluggage that would be AMAZING! But the wife wants a duck so we'll do a duck. However we could do Star Wars stools elsewhere. We're already scheduled to build Kirk's chair in a few months so a taun-taun would fit right in with that!

How did you cover the memory foam with the black covering?

They came that way. Square vinyl cases for the foam. Pretty good fit too. All I did was cut the tassles used to tie them to chairs off.
