Talking about the quality of matches over rollback across regions reminds me of the time I got lucky and was able to play against Max himself in Tekken 8 during a stream of his. There were a few bumps here and there, like one blip for each round we played, but overall, it was really good, and even Max was shocked to learn that I was playing from Scotland and over wi-fi. Which is funny because there was a match he played before that where the connection was so bad it was basically unplayable and yet that person was from a place, a state in the US, that was much closer to Max, which again adds to his point about how every connection is sort of it's own thing and some will be good and some will be bad for reasons.

I get it’s going to be all about how it’s going to play since it’s a fighting game. I think even Uni2 looks a bit more unique. thing about riot, they already have the network base for a fighting game because of League and Valorant, all they are doing is basically reserving or building some new servers that will be running the 2XKO platform for each region, so best connections will be like connecting to someone in the us west if you are also in the us west, then the rest of the country, and then the world.

Yeah, there's no reason it shouldn't be an option, default to local region makes sense, but let people go global if they want. Would have slower queues if opt in, but should have the option outside of just private games.

The current daily and weekly mission goals they set kinda worry me. They really want you to grind the game every day because of dailies and goals for weeklies are unachievable for weekend players. Given recent Riot's doings, they making this game extremly FOMO influenced already. And I know for the fact that making a fair weekly/daily system is possible (DRG player). Like having a stack of daily mission from last 3 days or so be completable for less regular players. With what the goals they've set currently, I worry some people might not be even able to complete any of those.

The game is f2p, and there aren't that many characters. I feel like it's kinda justified, if you want to play the game without having to grind, drop some money to get the characters you want. If you don't want to or can't afford to spend money, then the grind is available to you. I assume based on what they've said that if you complete all your missions, you'll have more than enough currency to unlock every character as they come out, so you probably won't have to do everything.

It’s crazy how every thing that tried to replicate the success of Fortnite’s Battle Pass didn’t understand what made it so successful in the first place. Fortnite’s Battle Pass is one of the few I have genuinely found value in buying with all the stuff you get, and it’s great because if you play enough, you earn enough V-Bucks to buy the next one, so you theoretically only need to buy it once. Obviously I don’t make it through every time, but I’ve never had an issue rebuying it when I can tell I’m gonna be on the game a while, or if there’s a skin I really want in it. Glad that 2XKO seems to understand the appeal of Battle Passes too.

People complaining about having to pay for cosmetics is stupid, and if this follows any other Riot game model you will get some (over time, a ton) free cosmetics anyway, although probably random ones. Or what are you expecting? that you get EVERYTHING for free? 🤣 How would that make sense for Riot? The fact that you'll probably be able to play the game for free and grind the in-game currency for unlocking characters is good enough for me, I don't even care about free cosmetics. The skins are around 10 dollars and BP are around 15 dollars on league. Some skins recently were made with whales in mind and cost a lot (Faker skin pack cost around 500 dollars ), but the vast majority is not like that.

all these current fighting games that cost $70 also have the same cosmetic microtransactions AND they even make you pay more money for unlocking characters. So, unllike a F2P game like 2XKO, if they decide to release an OP character and you don't want to/can't pay money for it, you're at a disadvantage in terms of gameplay...even though you already paid $70 for the game. But I'm sure people will find a way to complain about Riot wanting to sell you some skins that have absolutely no impact on the actual game...

Capcom was really bad with the "Let's nerf EVERYTHING" ideal with SFV and DMCV where they lowered the skill floor but absolutely crushed the skill ceiling into the ground. Now with SF6 and 2KXO it's nice that devs seem to be pulling back on that and seeing that they can make games more accessible without taking away from the higher end players

It was kind of expected but the confirmation of Vanguard being in 2XKO instantly makes it a no play for me. That anti cheat is invasive as shit, it caused my pc to Blue screen constantly when they added it to League and I'm just not bending the arm on this one. I uninstalled league after 10 years and won't even bother trying this. It would be bad enough already considering how the Anti-cheat works but them going out of their way to delete reddit posts and complaints about how that piece of shit was shutting down programs on users pcs without asking for permission, flagging peripheral apps like corsair, razer, logitech light/dpi control and shit like AHK and causing crashes or shutting stuff down when you weren't even playing league was way too much. Not only that, if you close that shit and then you want to play any game that requires it, you have to reboot your computer or it won't allow you to play. The saddest part is that new cheats got worked out not even 1 week after this dogshit piece of malware/spyware was forced upon us.

The least attractive part of the update regarding Alpha is their anti-cheat. Even though not the only kernel level anti-cheat, Vanguard has a lot of problems that give it bad reputation. (crashing PCs, slowing down gameplay drastically, running all the time in background, if you disable it ou need to restart your machine to play, recent hack attack at Riot giving us doubs about security; and regular concern about gathering excesive data, that they deny every time). As someone who never installed Valorant and uninstalled League when Vanguard was about to come, it kinda pains me this long awaited game might not be for me even after full release.

​@@Pkou yea that's just outright false lmao, valorant has an incredibly low cheater count, especially when compared to csgo, and a huge amount of scripters were caught when vanguard came out in league. the cheaters that you do see that get through vanguard are few, and the only reason why you think they're that many is because obviously 1 cheater getting through is gonna be more obvious than thousands of cheaters not getting through. regardless of how you feel about vanguard, it's effectiveness cannot be argued against.
