Spectacular! I completely agree with your philosophy about not paying much attention to negative comments. Some people just want to cause chaos. I also agree with you about keeping your integrity as a high priority. You may not see the same customers year after year; but word of mouth will bring you plenty of new ones. Cheers from the USA!

I own a new red car, it's not a Mustang (LOL), but when properly coated and cared for, red paint just looks surreal in the light. I'd never even hand washed a car three months ago, but after watching people like yourself, Pan, Yvan Lacroix, and the Rag Company guys, I learned enough and felt confident to take on the job of ceramic coating my car myself. It's been fantastic and I've gotten a new hobby, so thanks for that!

Fab video as always Were do I start Sandro you cover more than detailing I have seen this to many times When it comes to detailing it's more about money Its a life choice We are dealing with people who in most cases love their cars Its more than a car it's their Hope's and dreams As detailers it's up to us to make Hope's and dreams come true With the time given and making it look as good as we can Seeing there face and smile is worth more than money Its a mind set I have never forgotten when you detailed the Mitsubishi Bush bashers You could have just given it a quick one step and removed 70 percent but you went 90 to 95 percent You understand detailing is more than money detailing is life mind set and being the best we can be Detailing is about looking deeper into ones self Money is important yes but should not be the driving force When I see it it angers me as they are selling the customer short That's why I love to watch your channel Your attitude is a breath of fresh air keep it up In Sandro we trust

What gsm towels do you like to use when buffing off a sealant? Another great video!
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, and I guess for spray sealants I tend to use medium pile cloths maybe around the 300-400 gsm range as there’s not too much residue to gather and they seem to buff streak free well. For stickier liquid sealants with a bit more residue I sometimes use a higher pike cloth to help gather and buff more of that sitting residue.

First of all, Awesome video as always and great knowledge Sandro!! For a car that is park outdoor 24/7. Wouldn’t a ceramic coated car attract a lot of water spots? However there is no wax or sealant can withstand outdoor weather. What will you recommend?
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, there’s never a 100% best solution and everyone has different experiences, but water spots have never been a huge problem for me and they certainly weren’t on this car. But part of that is environment and maintenance routines that can vary a lot. The best thing you can do is just try out whether a wax, sealant or coating suits you better. Your never going to ruin your cars paint by giving any of them a go, there nothing a polish can’t undo, so give all them a go and decide which one works best for you.

thanks for the video. Do I follow the same procedure of cleaning for car that has paint protection film? about that thought at 23:45 unfortuanlty many detailers buisness do have the mindset to not to give the best, or overprice the job. Keep the great work.
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing Жыл бұрын
Thanks and basically yes. I would however be a little more cautious using tar removers as they can cause PPF edges to sometimes lift and in certain cases haze some brands of film, but everything else will be quite safe and a great way to revive and reset PPF.

Always top level Sandro What would be your recommandations to get rid of existing ceramic coating in terms of compound and pad ? Thanks
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, and if it’s an older coating already starting to diminish, what I do is start with a good wash & decontamination process to further help break it down with stronger detergents chemicals and then I’ll just correct the paint in the least aggressive manner which could be just a light polish and polishing foam pad, but if the paint is harder or has more defects I may use a medium compound and light cutting foam of MF pad. I’ve done this same thing many times and the new coating or paint protection I apply afterwards always bonds and performs well. So don’t get caught up on thinking you have to aggressively cut back the paint or older coating, just a really good decontamination process followed by a normal paint polishing step and IPA wipe is all that’s needed.

I thought it would be water soluble... but no. Any tips? I noticed that damn trail as its raining a lot at the moment. I do have a ceramic coating + added protection on top. I wonder if TarX would do the trick? Thnx man! Love the videos!!!!

I think Tar-X would be my choice to deal with it. I’d personally just hit it lightly a few times, letting it dwell for a couple of minutes and then just lightly wiping over it and rinsing the area down.

Any suggestions for protecting paint when you don't have a garage or car port I really want to do my first ceramic coat but my house is surrounded by big beautiful trees that drop sap and trash on the finish should I just stick to regular waxing

I worked as a mobile detailer for years so you can’t let your outdoor environment stop you. If doing a coating, try to pick a good day weather wise, try and start as early as possible to avoid strong sunlight, try to be well organised and setup before you start so you can move quickly and efficiently, and above all just do the best you can with an understanding that it’s not the idea environment but that doesn’t mean you can’t still produce a great result.

Aweeome video Sando as always. Ive got 2 questions for u if u dont mind. Firstly the Snow plus that u used in the foam cannon, my snow plus is a blue liquid yet yours was clear. Do u know why this would be? Secondly im looking for a decent but on the cheaper end, wet and dry vac for detailing. Can u suggest one that would be less than $300 but have good power and accessories? Thanks mate

Thanks mate and it’s just a colour difference with Snow+ on certain batches but the product is the same. As far as blower goes I haven’t tried the new bigboi blowR mini but that could be an option at your price point, otherwise you’d have to jump up a little in price for the metro vac Air Force express which I have used and is a great unit, but the older bigboi’s I tried also seemed quite good.

I’m honestly not too sure about a good wet and dry vac at that price point I just haven’t been in the market for one in quite some time so I’m not sure what to recommend. Sorry mate.

Hey Sandro, I've been thinking about DIY applying Cquartz UK, purely for the gloss, ease of maintenance and saving me having to seal it every few washes. But this video has really changed my mind. If I'd still have to consistently seal it with Jet, Lustre or Boost (which I'm not opposed to), to get the maximum life out of the coating, why bother coating it if Jet, Lustre or Boost provide all of the benefits I'm after anyway?

Firstly, I think just using a good spray sealant is absolutely fine, so I don’t think every needs to or should opt for a ceramic coating. But to answer your question; you can use a good spray sealant that last 3-6mth without doing anything but washing the car regularly, but if you work a quick detailer into the mix or even top up the sealant every couple of months you can push that sealant to 6-9ths before you should do a full decon and start again. Now you can use a good ceramic coating that lasts 9-18mth without doing anything but regularly washing it, but if you do use a QD or top sealant as well as give it a good periodic chemical decon clean, you can push that coating to more like 18mths- 3yrs before you should strip, decon and start again. I hope that answers your specific question. But apart from that, I’ve also found (after using coatings on my own cars for about a decade) that coatings tend to be superior at reducing oxidation, helping reduce swirls and so forth, so there are other benefits as well.

@@CarCraftAutoDetailingHey Sandro, sorry for the late response. Didn't get notified about your response and only saw it because I've come to rewatch this video hahaha. Thanks for the reply, makes perfect sense. I actually ended up getting Nv Evo for my birthday last week so I'll be applying that this weekend, and following the exact maintenance routine you recommend in this video - down to the decon soaps and chemicals used as well as the top coat sealants. I'm sure you know by now but who knows how many cars are out there sitting the way they sit now because of the detailing advice provided by your channel. Cheers.

What is different between alkaline, acid or PH neutral snow foams/shampoos? When and which to use is the best for the paintwork and for ceramic or wax coatings? Interested in this, because I always thinked that for ceramic coated cars and for all cars best is PH neutral products, and thinked that acid or alkaline after long time of using demage plastics, coatings, etc., people talks about very alkaline (PH 12-14) active foams in touchless car washes in my country, that demages car chrome, rubber trims, polished rims, etc., so I thought that PH neutral is best of the best, but maybe not in all scenarios?

The real difference is that certain alkaline and acid cleaners can at times remove more stubborn and imbedded grime that if not removed can itself overtime degrade the finish of a vehicle. But you don’t want to use these stronger cleaners all the time as that will also be too harsh if used constantly. It’s really about finding a balance of using more effective chemicals when need and using more mild ph cleaners in most other circumstances.

Hi Question. The hose connected to the ceiling boom has a hook-like object on which the trigger guns are hooked, but which manufacturer's product is this hook-like object? I am looking for such a product and it would be very helpful if you could tell me.

That was provided by the builders of the wash bay. I’ll give you a link to them and you could try asking them as I’m not sure on its specific name www.eclipseaustralia.com.au/wash-bays-1?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwp_RpqfD-AIV_J1LBR1fKgP8EAAYAiAAEgKo7_D_BwE

HI Sandro Jeremy from Adelaide here mate. I have a couple of questions does this process effect the paint or the clear coat each time the ceramic coating is removed and applied again? Say if I wanted to re-ceramic coat my whole car again every 2-4 years would it eventually start removing paint? Would the car need to have clear coat re-applied some time? Thanks Sandro
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Every time you polish you’re removing at least some clear coat but removing a little less if it’s a coating you’re polishing as that will be the top layer in that instance. I’ve done this same process many times over on my own cars and when remeasuring the paint I still haven’t noticed a measurable difference.

Why putting a 2 years ceramic coating instead of a 5 years. After you have polish and compound the paint why not charging 100$ more and put the 5 years.
@CarCraftAutoDetailing

2 or 5 year claims means nothing based on all my past experience except that the brand decided to say it’s a 5yr coating. Don’t get get caught up in making hype, some of the best coatings on the market have lower durability claims because the brand decided to be more realistic and honest rather than cash in on unrealistic long term claims.
