Just to point out that now (22/06/2017) MWOSD 1.6.8 is compatible with KISS FC. All you need to do is edit config.h inside Arduino (latest version will work): just uncomment #kiss and the OSD you have (in my case it´s the minimOSD). You can follow this thread on RcGroups: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2763206-Diatone-SP3-Stackable-Switchable-25-200-600mW-VTx-w-OSD-Pigtail-5V-BEC-40/page2 It´s about the Diatone SP3 but I guess it will work on any OSD running MWOSD. The whole point of it is that you can configure it using the GUI!! :) By the way, to make it work I DID have to cross rx and tx between the OSD and the KISS FC. At first I followed what´s said on the thread and it didn´t work. I must say I´m not getting RSSI but I guess I can get it by wiring the OSD directly to my X4R SB receiver. Or maybe I´m missing something about KISS FC since I´m still new to this technology. Hope this comment helps someone!

MWOSD GUI 1.7 says it now costs, £1.29 in the chrome store.... 1.6 is free to add manually though. It is all completely different now though.

One quick question: how does one enable the telemetry on the esc.... my batch of esc don't show any information at all. Ii have checked the cables and everything is wired according to the manual. I also have an Flyduino Kiss OSD and i still don't get any data at all.

Using your assembly intructions as videos and LiPo Battery 2200mAh 3S 11.1v 30C what is the maximum you would let the battery drop before you would need to land. I am going to set up the Taranis plus with battery warnings to land before damaging the battery. Can you advise?.

That's a function of the GUI software, have a look at the latest release notes for the software on the MinimOSD. The features are being updated and improved all the time..

Hey, nice video! helped me alot while installing my own OSD with the KISS FC! Can i tune my PIDs with kiss an minimosd? Cause i cant get into the menu. Tried throttle mid, yaw right and Pitch, but it doesnt work..

how do you get it to only show the mah consumed and the total current, and not all the individual esc stats?

I'd have a read up on the manual/read.me files with the latest version. The one we tested here was a very early versi9on of the code and things have probably advanced since then. Best of luck!

I am getting an error after update of the firmware - avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0xb9 - It says that it is done updating, but this error comes up and it looks like it never really finished. Any Ideas? BTW I am using a PIGGY OSD board.

I still just fly los, want to get into fpv at some point but why do you need an osd? What are the benefits? And do you need to run it on every quad you run fpv?

+Justin Zwick Short answer is no, you don't HAVE to have it at all but it's a nice add-on. It really depends on your application though. In a race quad flight time, battery voltage and RSSI are about all you really want. It's not mandatory though by any means as you can get this info using things like radio telemetry if you have say a FrSky system. Having that info on screen though is definitely a better way to go as you can see it real time whereas radio telemetry only alerts you when certain conditions are met. If, however, you have say a GPS equipped autonomous flying aerial video multi then there is an enormous amount of important info that you can access via an OSD such as direction and distance to home or the next waypoint, number of satellites the GPS is locked into, GPS co-ordinates and to name a few.

+Andrew Smith for me most of the things are not necessary but knowing your flight time and voltage is essential to not dropping your quad out of the sky or having to land miles away. I really like the osd on my eachine racer which just has these essentials displayed plus the broadcast channel. Eachine make a 600mw VTX that has an osd like this built in. If you don't want to have to fart about i would absolutely recommend one of these.

+3000gtwelder We do show the models flying and a lot of the FPV videos also feature recorded video clips too. We fly over private land a lot of the time and the landowner (quite rightly) doesn't want lots of video of his property on the internet.

+PinchTune anything V1.0 is the first attempt ;) No customisation and setups yet. See the other OSD videos for products with a little more maturity to see what I mean.

Well, I guess I do understand what you mean. It's just that I thought that by now all the features would be there. I run other OSDs... mainly the Power OSD Pro and now also a RRotor OSD. But those only work from the front end (battery side, not from the ESCs). But I only really need current, consumption, voltage, timer and RSSI. I thought the MicroMinim on KISS could already do all those cleanly.
