cindy loo Its not suppose to look cozy, its a modern open space like a loft, its great for entertaining and indoor/outdoor living. If you have kids, guest etc and work from home, this house is perfect.. I wonder when you turn on the A/C does it cool the entire 7000 sq feet? I would think this house would have independent zone heating & cooling? Looking at $1200+ cooling bills a month.

Raquel Turrillo Yes, everyone is different. I personally like large open spaces with tall ceilings and lots of glass and natural sunlight. Unfortunately, such a space cost lots of $$$ to heat and cool. I also don't like running into another occupant if I feel the need for private personal space...

Lovely house! Reminds me of the house I grew up in (South-America) but as a little kid you don't consciously appreciate much. Now I basically live in a cupboard in Amsterdam. As a rule I don't particularly like new build homes, but this is definitely one I love, although I would have gone for the master suite upstairs where the secluded bedroom was. Just my thoughts though, I'd be happy with it how it is.

YuEn Gu The furniture on the rooftop is probably outdoor furniture. It's fine to leave it out in the rain, cos its waterproof, and tends to dry quick. Plus the house is in Arizona I think, its really warm there and hardly ever rains.

I feel like the only people who live in these type of houses don't use it for what they could. A big family with like 6+ kids could be great in this house and for everyone saying it's not cozy, that's true but you could always decorate it to be more cozy and with 8+ people running around then I'm sure they could make it seem smaller or at least full.

I applaud the owner of this home. I like the flow of the house and the vibe it gives. I suspect many of you are hyper critical. The layout of windows and views are amazing. The high ceiling line is breath taking and well designed. If I were to make one and only one change then I would have to go with large beam Coffered Ceilings in a contrasting dark wood design. Obviously this project was a great deal of work which I imagine took months if not years to bring to life. As a side note for those of you who suddenly appear to be master designers... Take a look at your surroundings and then watch this video again. Maybe and I'm just saying maybe; this young lady is doing something beyond the level of your understanding. This design is her's, not yours. A house is a house but a woman makes it a home. Take a hard look at all the clutter in your home - now multiply this by 100.. omg.. certainly not a video I would want to see.
