Some trainers say you should only use a collar but my dog seems to walk better when he’s wearing a harness. I like the harness more as I don’t feel bad when he sometimes pulls when he wears a collar. Plus he pulls less wearing harness! Favourite KZbin channel for goldens 😁

We had a Joy ride harness for our last golden, we liked it because it was so easy to put on and Toby didn’t pull too much. Unfortunately we lost Toby to cancer recently and our hearts are broken. While Toby can never be replaced we do want to get another Golden soon. My husband and I watched this video and you make some valid points. We like the front range harness and would like to get one once our puppy has gotten its 12 week shots and can safely be walked. Since they grow so fast do we don’t know what size to start with or if we just need to get several different sizes as they grow.

Am I ask you a really dumb question I was trying to see in leaving the harness throughout the night is it better just for when you’re going to go outside with him? I was just thinking as far as if Something Happens I’m able to chain them right away and go.

We’ve tried several harnesses, the Joyride harness is the one we used the most due to its fit and ease of use. Now I’m wondering if I should try something different for our other dog. Sadly, our Golden passed away yesterday after a 3 month battle with hemangiosarcoma . Our hearts are breaking, we know we don’t want to live without a Golden in our lives, so eventually we’ll get another and we want to make sure we get the best products for our fur babies.

Never had harnesses on our golden retrievers, but our newest golden is a female and more aggressive when she is taken outside, and doesn't respond to a lesh well as she just pulls so swiftly. Lucy is almost 6 months old. We take her out every three hours to do bathroom breaks and exercise running in the yard. Are harnesses meaant to be kept on, or do you take them off when they're inside the house? She needs to learn restraint.

Overall which would you choose between Ruff wear and Blue-9 if your dog isn’t sensitive to things going over the head? Or does it make sense have both for different purposes?

I just trained up a golden saint rescue, ie. a hugo muscular golden with a stubborn hard head. I threw on a harness, and said f-that in about the 2nd wear. What a pain! so instead, I just trained him with a flat collar and now he's just fine with a loose lead. You have to make sure the flat collar is fitted just right, and after one or two bad pulls they learn. Sure, risky, but good lord, when we go, we want to just clip and run (he even brings me his lead... I doubt he would even look at a harness again.

Thank you for reviewing three of my favorite harnesses! 💖 We have all three for our dogs and have recently discovered the brand Anny-X from Germany. Highly recommend you check it out, it is a new favorite!

sad that KZbin is flooded with "reviews" like this, cant take the person seriously when they have affiliate links to the products, they might just have gone out and searched for what affiliate products give the most to them and then just simple picked them. If you want to be taken serious dont have affiliate links to the product you are showing. People are not dumb.

Terrible presentation- sorry the hand gestures the turning of her head constantly. Not getting to the point. I went through the transcript
