I really like the way you explain what you can get from the lick and not just show how to play it..Excellent.

Another Sooper lesson Marc!! Please make more such Rhythm lessons using triads incorporating some embellishments, licks in between... it will be very interesting and good to learn those things. Cheers and thanks for your good job 👏 👍🙏😊🎸🎸

Thanks very much for the excellent comment. Yes, I couldn't make a video talking about this song without mentioning that little triad rhythm run.

Thanks great lesson. . I have a few things to play around with now today.. I wonder how much Gilmour improvised the solo and how much he worked out ahead of time.
@MarcGuitarVideos5 жыл бұрын
Hard to say but interesting to think about. Even if it's mostly composed, chances are that composition will stem from improv

Hi Mark - maybe some more Gilmore soon. I was surprised that this wasn't a particularly popular video for me. David Gilmore is one of my favourite players. Darkside is an absolute masterpiece.

Out of curiosity, how many hours do you practice in a day?
@MarcGuitarVideos5 жыл бұрын
Hi David - not as much as I'd like ;) Seriously though, it varies all the time as I have to fit music into any spare time after family and job. Certainly there were times when I was younger when I practiced a lot more. These days, it's a handful hours a week available where I need to fit in KZbin filming and editing, working out the next lesson, songwriting, practice and actually just jamming out for fun.
