In this video, I present 3 simple, but effective, posture exercises specifically designed for clients with osteoporosis. My aim is to improve your neck position, address rounded shoulders, and enhance upper back and scapular strength.
Exercise: Chin Pulls for Improved Neck Position
We begin with chin pulls, an exercise that targets the neck muscles while promoting better posture. The video demonstrates the correct technique and encourages viewers to gently pull their chin inward, lengthening the back of the neck. This exercise helps counteract the forward head position often associated with osteoporosis. Motivational prompts are provided to keep clients engaged and motivated.
Exercise: Chest Openers for Rounding Shoulders
The second exercise focuses on chest openers, which aim to lengthen the pectoralis muscles and alleviate rounded shoulders. Viewers are guided through a series of stretching and strengthening movements designed to open up the chest and promote a more upright posture.
Exercise: Upper Back and Scapular Strength for Better Posture
The final exercise targets the upper back and scapular muscles to improve overall posture. Viewers are shown exercises such as scapular squeezes, rows, or other appropriate exercises that strengthen the upper back muscles, promoting a more upright and stable posture.

Thank you! I love these kinds of exercises that can be done easily throughout the day. The kitchen seems to be the place that has built in time to include these: waiting for the microwave, waiting for the water to get hot, etc.

Love all of your videos and the important information you provide. Question--I have what I think is Dowager Hump. My neck has the S curve like it should and I have really been concentrating on my posture. Will these exercises help to eliminate that "hump"
