I do love how you went about this. It’s not another tutorial vid but a vid of someone we love to watch, watching himself do a semi dangerous ‘what if i was stranded’. Also love how you went about things like, “I don’t want to do more damage than i have to for a video”, so thoughtful and non-destructive. Can’t wait for the other 2 videos!!!

It’s been so amazing watching your channel evolve. Don’t get me wrong, I love your earlier content just as much, but it was very simple. Basically just showing the catch clean cook with a bit of camping. Not that cinematic, but very entertaining. The intro alone of this video is a masterpiece, let alone the rest of the video. It really shows how much you have grown as a content creator, what you have learned, and just how much time you put into these videos. Brilliant work brother, never stop being amazing.

A tip for prickly pear if anyone is interested is to collect some long grass and make a good sized bundle with it, then wrap the fruit with the grass by sort of looping the grass around it and rub the grass back and forth (kind of in a "drying my back with a towel movement" lol), this should remove most of the small fuzzy thorns and is also a good way of safely picking the fruit

Funny. As a kid in the 1970s we always called them thongs, and then it was on to thong bikinis and undies and it changed to flip flops. Guess thong means "the thing that goes between the big toes to hold the thing on your feet." Guess thong means the thing that goes between the cheeks to hold the thing on the body". Or just the thingy part of the thong.

The boat is pretty cool. I like the wheels on the back that help you drag it up on the beach

That prickly pear is yum even better cold. Next time. Rub them in the sand to get the prickly bits off. Then bury them in a bag in the wet sad to cool them a bit. Better eaten cool. Can give you an upset tummy if you eat to many warm ones. Yes thy are yum. 😁👍🤙

Commenting to help the algorithm. As usual Rod, amazing content. Bringing the primitive fishing rig for entertainment value was a great decision. Can't wait to see the next part!

Cactus fruit are the best! Here in New Mexico, USA we turn them into jam and make a dye out of the color. The flavor is hard to describe to someone who hasn't had it. I think of it as a plum and mango mixed. Awesome video 🤙

Love this new video idea. Prickly pear can make you constipated if you eat to much. As you stomach can not digest the pips. But love what you doing.
