I served in the British military for 10 years, and one thing I will always give to the Americans is the fact that your veterans, and the active troops that go away, are treated like Kings, in the UK not many people care about the people that served and now live with scars, physically or emotionally

Hey my father couldn’t complete his 23 years because our family was targeted and our residents on the base in El Salvador was shot at and my sister and I would cry when our father came to see us I can’t say his rank because he joined the reserve after he took us to miami. I went and did 12 years. Much respect to the active duty and the ones who help out with our military. This means lots to me. I was listening to crazy rock when I was behind the 50. I have ptsd I hear bullets or if I hear something break or hit near me I get on point. It is not a fun life

Thank you for your service to this country. Thank you as well for doing this video. One of my favorites. I want to add that I was married to a man who did 3 tours in Vietnam. I met and married him years after he came back, and it had really messed with his mind. He had PTSD so bad (he was also a POW for 3 months before american military came in and took the camp), but it wasn't a recognized illness when he came home, so he never got help. My dad did a couple of tours in Korea, and he had issues from that. I understand what our active Military and our Veterans go through, and I love all of you, and from my heart, I thank you.

Billy, thank you for your service... I'm a little long winded, but, I just found you and I enjoy your channel! Retired AF hubby. I am a lifer vets' very proud wife. Love this band. They sang my life back in the day. My husband has always been my hero. I am so proud of him. God Bless all these amazing men and women fighting for their brothers and sisters next to them in the trenches. All while they defend the defenseless and help those who have nothing. American Servicemen are in over 200 countries, every year. Building schools, drilling wells for fresh clean water, delivering desperately needed supplies to terribly damaged disaster areas. Bringing hospital ships to New York and California for Covid 19 patients. And yes, fighting and dying for this country. These people will always be, in my heart and my eyes, the very best of America. They are MY heroes and heroines. My military friends, you know you are loved and so deeply respected by this family. God Bless and keep you. Mema

I served in the Navy for 11 years, and completed 6 deployments including 2 combat deployments, and I can tell you it sucks to watch your loved ones on the pier as the ship starts moving away to go out to sea for anywhere from 6 months to a year before you get to see them again, or they get to see you again, this is a small part of the sacrifices that our service members and their families make to keep us free.

Hi Billy!, thank you for playing this, not only am I a 3 Doors Down fan, I also had a loved one who served in the Army...8 years. I’m not a spouse of a soldier, I am the mom of a veteran (he’s not married), and I also thought and worried about him, parents of soldiers feel the emotions also. I didn’t worry so much when he was stationed in Hawaii, but when he re enlisted and was deployed to Iraq, I worried every day until he came back home and it really helped when he was able to use Skype to let me know that he was ok. I also like their song Citizen/ Soldier, played it a lot when he was still in.

My, now, ex-husband deployed to Afghanistan when our daughter was just 4 months old and we had just got married 5 months before. We aren't together anymore but he is my best friend and I am so proud of him and what he did for our country. I wish he could've been home for all of our daughter's firsts and I know he wishes for that too but I understand that he had a job to do and even though it was hard to leave us, he did and I have always been proud of him and I will always be.
