Growing up, my mom would cook something all day Saturday on the stovetop (spaghetti, roast, chili) and we would have those left overs after Mass. Sometimes she would by a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken, as it was called back in those days, or we would stop at the drug store and eat at the lunch counter or go to The Picadilly cafeteria. This was back in the 60s and 70s. These day, my husband and I go out for breakfast/brunch after Mass. I’m going to have to try all three of these crockpot meals. ❤

That sounds about right lol sandwiches and salads during the summer! Warm and cozy in the cold months! But my fella has a boring palette. He don’t like a lot of one pot meals and he don’t care for onion or peppers. So boring lol ❤😂

Hi Amber! These crockpot meals look so good! I enjoy your videos, but I don’t comment much. However, I had to comment on your beautiful kitty! I loved seeing her and that fluffy tail! I hope you and your family have a great week! 🩷

I made chicken tortillas in the crockpot for a girls trip plus buffalo chicken dip. Used leftovers from both to make chicken tortilla soup. It turned out fantastic

Great video, as is usual! Tank you. By the way. I did your fall pork butt recipe with cider! Fantastic! I think my piece of roast was larger and I used two complete garlic pods and cooked at 300 for somewhere around an extra hour. I also used dry herbs as opposed to fresh. Just wow. It was incredible. God bless all here! 😊😊😊😊

I have to tell you this about your husband. I am glad to get a chance to see him again because when I first started to watch your channel the first video was the one where he corrected you about saucepan versus frying pan and he actually scared me! I think I was defensive for you because I did think he was wrong, you were right and I felt like he should do what you said to do and question you later. So when he showed up again I was leary, but this video today was fun and I am going to ease up and stop getting my back up and not feel like I have to “protect” you! The headship arrangement is a very good one and you are very good at it! Keep up the good work!

Oh my goodness, I'm glad you came back! He's seriously the best and sweetest husband. We joke around so much. I know you guys probably don't know that just bc you don't know the dynamics of our marriage. I don't even know what I would do without our silly banter. My life would be so much more boring. I assure you, I am treated like an absolute queen!
@pauletteingulia31075 күн бұрын
That’s beautiful and I know how no one knows the dynamics of a marriage like the two people involved. Your children are so polite and sound very grounded when they help in the kitchen with you and they have to get that from the two of you!But I have enjoyed your channel so much and had to tell you what I had initially thought and how he has won me over by seeing his real personality! I’m protective of people I think a lot of! Keep up the good work! I’m just an appreciative listener!

On Sundays I usually make a bigger meal. Some prep the night before helps. Yesterday I made a cornbread chicken casserole, rice, green beans, Mac and cheese is a must for the teenagers and gravy! We eat it with cranberry sauce also! So good!!!! But yes i love crockpot meals. Super easy on work days and with fall heading our way lots of stews and soups! I’d love a good recipe for a chicken corn chowder if yall would share one! Thanks and love yall from SC ❤😊 And your kitty is so gorgeous! We have a female longhair orange Tabby! Her name is Chloe and she’s a mess! I had to put tin foil all over the kitchen cabinets to try and keep her off. She just recently started doing that 😮 🤷♀️

If you are on a low sodium diet be careful of tortillini it is very high in sodium per serving. I think we would serve of just pasta due to BP issues. Looks so yummy!

Love your channel Byrd family and your spirit! When I was younger we would frequently go out to eat after church and 25% of the time as an adult we will do the same if we have church or activities on Sunday evening. I love crockpot meais or those that utilize the air fryer to help with the hustle and bustle of the day. God bless and thank you again for sharing your families' great recipes and encouraging scriptures 🙏❤

Try buying a large bag of peeled garlic, chop ot yourself & scoop with a small cookie scoop onto sheet pan, freeze, then put farcical pucks into the freezer in a bag !! Check out Becky at Acre Homestead when she processes pre-peeled garlic !! I would try the first, but I would have to alter, I hate tortellini,

Have loved your channel for a long time & never commented but please wash your hands after handling chicken (12:30).. instead of just wiping your hands.. you could get yourself or a family member REALLY sick. God bless!
@FeedingtheByrds4 күн бұрын
I ALWAYS wash my hands after handling any raw meat. But it is removed in the editing. If you see me wiping my hands on a towel, it's because I just washed them.
