I started today! Kept it simple and every meal was so filling: Oatmeal, bananas, original soy milk (no additional sweetener needed, so yummy and creamy); sweet potatoes with steamed broccoli; lentils, rice, mixed veggies, turmeric, red chili powder, mustard seeds (no oil)

I was always quite slim, but thanks to my Dad, bc he is a nutrition freak (love You ❤) I started eating very low fat. My Dad is on this diet for almost a year and he likes to test his blood health etc., every results are getting better. And that's so fascinating, that you can eat whatever you want and in huge amounts and your becoming healthier. I eat a lot, I practice yoga and I really feel that what I'm eating it's very nutritious for my body. No or low fat that's the best what can be. It's veggies and fruits and that's pure life energy. Thanks for those colourful recipes 🙏🏻🥰

@@CastledarkDweller27 It is a deep purple/black! it is called forbidden rice because in Anciant Times the rice was reserved for the Emperors only. Commoners were forbidden to eat it. Give it a try! It goes good with veggie stir fry and crispy tofu.

Thanks, Melissa - very useful video, as usual. Just one question: do you take any supplements? I'm a new vegan, and according to the information I've learned, you need to take at least B12. And if you follow this kind of diet, as you show us, you might need even more as the body does need healthy fats. Otherwise, you will get bigger problems than overweight in future. Would be nice to know your opinion about that.

@melissaalexandria013 жыл бұрын
Thank you Maura. For the baked potatoes, I like lemon juice, garlic powder and some sea salt. Or even salt and vinegar. Or a drizzle of ketchup (I get the one with no added high fructose corn syrup). Hope this helps! Your palate will adjust to not having oil/butter - usually in a couple of weeks.

Maura, you can also put salsa or homemade “cheeze” sauce on them. 😋 Also cutting them up and putting them in the air fryer makes them more like French fries.
@CastledarkDweller273 жыл бұрын
oh hun when i was first switching over to this way of eating i had to have that "cheeze" sauce made with carrots and spuds and spices on EVERYTHING. all my greens. all my veges. and especially my potatoes. no matter if they were boiled, airfried, baked, steamed...even mashed. i think the (fat free) but creamy golden sauce tricked my brain into fooling my tastebuds so it didnt miss the butter or oily/creamy dressings i was accustomed to having on potatoes.
