Would like to know your version for assembling the sides. The side edges don’t have “Vs”. So how do you sew the side? Thanks in advance
@bellacococrochet2 жыл бұрын
For the sides you can work around the posts at the sides of the stitches, or to make it easier you can work a simple border of double crochet stitches (UK terms) around the piece, which will give you the 'Vs' all the way around 😊

I really like the color of your yarns! I am making a crochet vest and I think the mattress stitch fits it. But I am not sure since I am joining raw edges. I am not sure if it works just fine like the top part.
@bellacococrochet2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 You can still use the mattress stitch along the raw edges, but if you prefer you can work a row of double crochet stitches first which will give you a more even base to work into.

Can you do a tutorial on how to sew the top of the work on one piece to the side of the work on the second piece?

In this case you could work a simple border around both pieces (of double crochet stitches, for example) which will mean the stitches are the same to work into regardless of whether they are at the top or the sides 😊

Hi I'm coming from the baby blanket video where I mentioned my problem with the first 4 rows of my blanket, so question my loops from the second part of the blanket are bigger, ( cause remember I unravelled the first 4 rows cause of the extra loops and waviness) so how would this work with my blanket?
@bellacococrochet2 жыл бұрын
When joining pieces of crochet they do need to be of the same size in order to line them up properly - have you blocked your work? You can also work a simple edging along two pieces (of UK double crochet stitches) so you have an even edge on both to sew them together. 😊
@nancymcgahey61003 жыл бұрын
On the last example, it looks like you go through the front loop on the mint green one
@bellacococrochet3 жыл бұрын
It can be a little confusing with the last join as the pieces have the right sides facing inwards, so we work through the loop closest to us (which we would normally class as the front loop) but is actually the back loop here as the piece is the wrong way around 😊
