Try keeping the onion in the refrigerator and when you are ready to use them, peel, cut the core out and dice. Works for me.

I love all the soups, but i never made them. I’m definitely going to try them. Love your video. Cilantro To me is good I also like parsley. So it doesn’t make any difference which one you used to me I can’t taste the difference and neither one.

Put a wet paper towel on your cutting board next to the onions. The fumes are attracted to moisture like in your eyes. Paper towel will absorb the fumes.

Put the uncut, unpeeled onion in the freezer for about 15 min prior to cutting for no tears.

For the first soup, is the package of frozen broccoli steamed or blanched before you put it in the crockpot? Just curious! I’ve tried making this before and I find if the broccoli isn’t blanched first, it doesn’t get soft.

Take the skin off the onion and soak in ice cold water for half an hour before cutting it up!! No more tears!!

This was great. With homeschooling 5 kids and extra-curricular activities, I've been looking for new crock pot recipes. I've mastered, at least according to my daughter, the Olive Garden chicken gnocchi soup, but my favorite is pasta fagioli. Being diabetic, I also appreciate the low carb Broccoli cheese! Definitely on my list for fall!

@KyleandMistie I really like the crock pot meals. With fall coming on, it just feels like good comfort food with little work. Soups and stews are great, but I'm wondering if you can come up with some lower carb/diabetic/keto friendly casseroles, good old meat and potato kind of meals worth a twist. I prefer sweet potatoes and I like chicken or turkey.

They sell them on Amazon and Temu, but they are not as big as the one she has. They only do 1 chicken breast at a time.

You can use your stand mixer with paddle attachment. Just run on low and hold the bowl.

For the onions...buy them cut already or frozen...lol!! Saves the tears.
