I can't applaud this video enough! Yes, yes and more yes! While my professional background is in education, even I have to remind myself it's okay to go off the script. Matter of fact, that is one of the many joys of homeschooling being able to customize curriculum to meet the instructional and learning objective needs of your kids. 🙏🏽 We definitely implement this type of flexibility in our homeschooling and it's been a blessing.

Thank you thank you for this encouragement! I constantly have to remind myself of the inspiring reasons I chose to homeschool and not revert to my public school experience which makes it dry, boring and all about academic rigor to pass a test! I want to instill good character and teach my kids to love learning so this was a great reminder of how to accomplish that!

Please! Thank you so much for your videos! This is my first year of homeschooling my two kids, they are 4 and 5 years old! This is my 3rd week and to be very honest Idk where to start or what to teach! I just put it in my Lord Jesus hands for him to guide me!

If your kids are only four and five years old, don’t use curriculum! Take them to the library, take them to parks, watch educational tv shows for preschoolers, let them color and paint and play with play dough, play dress up, and talk to them about whatever they want.

Hi! I'm so glad you find my videos helpful. I don't time us while we're doing our work, everything just takes as long as it takes. Once we're done, we're done. I don't make a schedule for every day, no. I have certain curriculum to use every day and we try to get to everything throughout the day while also doing other everyday life things. I know that's probably not a super helpful answer, but it's the truth. It's what works for us.
