Go the Oris bc4! It’s the one that was my first Swiss Watch, quality and value is amazing considering I paid 1k aud brand new from an AD 10 years ago for a day date version that I still have and will never part with. As a collector I have plenty of high end watches but Oris has a special place in my heart, they are the perfect brand to start and continue collecting with.

Hi If I may ask I would really like the Omega 125 reviewed, first chronograph certified chronometer by the cosc in 1973 (mind you it was the year the Cosc opened up if I am not mistaken) It is said that they made 2000, but this number seems wrong as you can always find one for sale, there has to be more. Maybe a bit of history in regards to the 1031 caliber found inside. How does this 24 hour dial work on the 9 o'clock region ? What do you reckon ? Thanks Fabrice

The macro shots really show the lack of quality in the finishing of the two mechanical pieces. The Tag is slightly better. That said, the TW Steel doesn’t even deserve to be mentioned in the breath as the other two brands.

Xiaomi ciga (which uses a seagull movement) is the nicest looking skeleton/demonstrator watch I've ever seen an its just over $100. Seagull also has some beautiful guilloche dials on watches in the $300 range.

Last summer I succumbed to the absurd temptation of a TW Steel Automatic, brand new for £186 online. Surprising well made, good quality stainless bracelet and not too OTT in appearance it’s design. I hadn’t realised that 45mm would appear so massive on my skinny wrist, my Apple Watch is 45 and appears tiny. The TW went back to the vendor and my moderate moolah was refunded, BTW the watch weighed a ton too!
