If you are looking for an easy hike in the White Mountains with an incredible view check out Lonesome Lake. It is in Franconia Notch and only about a one hour hike. You park at the Lafayette Place Campground parking lot. You basically start out on the same trail as if you were hiking Cannon Mountain but it splits off to the left for Lonesome Lake. The views are amazing and there are AMC Huts up there. I love sitting on that dock! I have also slept overnight up there dozens of times in January! Winter camping & hiking is awesome and waking up at Lonesome Lake is one of my favorite things to do!

As a resident of NH I have to say I have not seen any Karen's Orr anyone else freaking out about masks or any other things. If you want to see any Karen's around here just go t a Wal-Mart around midnight. You are bound to see some Karen's and an assortment of drunken folks making Karen's out of themselves. 🙂

So Taylor. I'm a nature photographer up here. Here is an interesting story about Glen Ellis falls. There was a Native maiden from one local tribe in love with a warrior of another local tribe. But they were forbidden to be together. So? They climbed to the top of Glen Ellis, and holding hands jumped off. Now the story is? If the light hits the bottom of the falls you can see them, standing there holding hands. Now I've photographed this falls a few times, and once I captured the outline of them.

Arethusa Falls is pronounced "air-ah-thoo-sa" I am 99% certain but cold be wrong. The state info building at the parking lot there has some interesting history. It is the "Wiley House" and was preserved. Many years ago a family with the last name "Wiley" lived in that building as it was ther home. There was a massive landslide and the entire family ran out of the house to try to get to safety. Unfortunately all members of the family died. The sad part is their home was never touched by the landslide aand they all would have survived if they had just stayed in their home. I live I NH and have hiked and slept overnight in the White Mountains hundreds of times over the years. I really enjoyed your video and hope you make more about hiking in NH. I believe Arethusa Falls is the biggest waterfall in NH but I could be wrong on that. Thanks for recording and sharing this video here! 😀🏕🏞⛰
@cygnals5243 жыл бұрын
I was wrong about Arethusa Falls as it is the 2nd largest waterfall in NH with Dryad Falls being the largest. The disaster that killed 7 members of the Wiley family + 2 others happened on August 28, 1826 and that event sparked tourism in that area.

Would love to see some of your hikes filmed in 360 Taylor! We're many hours from NH and so only get there about once a year. I need a fix for the rest of the year, so the more immersive, the better. One day, I hope they can figure out how to communicate scent digitally. Being able to breathe in the pine air along with 360 videos of the White Mountains would be amazing! ;-)
