Hi Paul, love your KZbin postings. I have a new R1250 GSA Trophy and been getting it ready for a 13,000 K/M ride around Australia with a BMW Safari. I have fitted a set of Colight flood/spot light after watching your excellent video. I have also fitted a Cansmart Denali management unit. I have reached out to Denali with my issue I’m having but they are having problems with delays and staffing currently and won’t be able to get back to me for sometime. You seem to be very knowledgeable about the Denali/ EasyCan situations. The issue I am having is the lights come on when turning the ignition on and stay on and won’t switch off or adjust the daylight sittings or nighttime sittings. The lights switch on fully and by pushing the indicator switch three time doesn’t work. Hopefully you can help Cheers Hal from Australia

Great video Paul, very informative as usual. Was going the Denali route till I saw your installation. Also watched a few other YT channel opinions and can't really find any negatives yet.Just one review (U.S.),mentioned ordering the wiring harness separate, as they send one for a car rather than a bike, whereas the web page says bike harness - so don't know what that is all about, any problems with that or was yours the correct harness in the box ?

Hi Steve. I did a full install and connected them using Denali lighting cables and hooked them up to my Hex Ezcan ,more expense but was able to dim the lights and operate them on/off with the push of my indicator button. The loom supplied was...um how do I say.. cost effective , that would suit others, who don't have the ocd that I do! So I ditched their loom and did it my own way as mentioned. I did say to them that the switch was not best for a motorcycle and I believe the have now changed it to one you can mount off the switchgear bolt/screw. Fabulous lights and well made, I think the wiring loom and there is a bunch of it.... just lets it down, for some that wont be an issue.Good lights though.

The y connector simply means that the lights are powered from a single source , so if they were connected via the hex can then they both do the same and can’t be programmed to do individual things . You won’t need any connector if they are going to separate inputs . As far as ampage goes just see what the manufacturers say they are and set it slightly above that . But I too am not an EE .

Hi. I don't know too much about other bikes tbh. Simplest way is to use an accessory manager like the Hexezcan, if they do one for your bike? Failing that, then a ready made wiring harness is needed , but the Colight one that I was sent for the HD spotlight, didn''t have what I would say is a proper motorcycle on/off handlebar switch more of a panel mounted switch and I didn't want t cut holes in my bikes bodywork, but you could easily source one from the internet for about £10 and simply replace the switch. Colight do other lights , with dual beam function and they do a handlebar mounted motorcycle switch in this kit, but I only wanted the spotlights , which are very good and I simply connected them as per the video.

Andy, sorry to hear about the lights failing. I am about to fit them on my brothers F800 so will be interesting to see if he has issues. I hope Colight do something for you and eventually replace them.🤞

I think they would be a better suit for a Harley not a BMW. Sorry

@@gsd32i I was driiving once on 1250 with original aux lights and led headlight for about 500km in complete darkness. Not once wished for more light. Just adjusted aux lights much higher to cover turns. My point is - there are mandatory upgrades to LC GS like headlight, cylinder head, dash protection, radiators protection and anything to stop rear tire throwing water to rider's ass. :) And there are tons of useless parts. So easy to drawn in them.

@@SAMFICOM well I am more than happy with all the things I have put on my GS . Everyone one is individual and what may be useless to some may be of benefit to others . Anyway enjoy the ride . 👍
