@nominalvelocity2 жыл бұрын
@@davidpeters8813 oh, I get that for sure, it's just that there are openings for different levels of feature sets in the market, and different price points. Soft start and variable speed motor controls have been quite inexpensive for a while now, and with the increasing use of materials that could benefit from lower saw speeds, one would expect to see variable speed controls at least on the high end. These are some great ideas. Good for people that can’t afford or have the space for a hybrid/cabinet saw. On the infeed, you have’s to loosen the toggle if you move the fence, correct? And when it presses against the slide, does it affect the fence position? In terms of drilling holes, you can always get replacement parts.

Want a good quality saw for precision fine furniture work but shop is sooo small. Debating jobsite saw (small/portable but doubts about quality/capability/precision, no dado), contractor saw (better quality with 36" T-Glide fence, but overly large for my space), and lesser cabinet saw (better quality with 36" T-Glide fence, quite large for my space but less so than contractor saw). Dust collection is important. Any thoughts, especially wrt trying to do fine work with jobsite saw and that saw's quality/capability?
