Tammy, i just saw your post from 3 years ago when you explained about your cancer and wigs. Honey, you have been such an inspiration to a lot of us in many ways. I do believe God had used you for his glory to testify to so many of us. He is an awesome God. We love you and enjoy listening to you on both channels. I always see Gods work in you on both channels. God Bless you and have a Blessed Day.

When I was a new Bride I would call my Mama everyday and ask her how to cook something. She taught me well. Before she passed away she told me I learned well and I could cook better than her. I was humbled by that statement It was the best compliment she ever could of given me .Well she also told me what a great Mama I was. I told her I learned from the best Mama ever. Miss her a ton.

I guess South Georgia and South Texas don’t differ much in their respective versions of Southern breakfasts. This is almost exactly how I make “The Big Breakfast”. I usually make the sausage as crumbles and make the cream gravy around the crumbles, then break the biscuits up bite-size and ladle the sausage gravy onto the chunks. Depending on who’s visiting, I may make skillet taters with sweet onions and bacon instead of grits. That’s my Mom, both Omas and all my aunts’ Central Texas, German & Čzech influence, but I add some sweet peppers as well. Of course I cook the eggs & taters with bacon grease. When I make grits for breakfast they are usually cheese grits with hot sauce. I’m more likely to make shrimp & cheese grits for brunch.

Wonderful video. I'm from the south (Alabama) and THAT'S my kind of breakfast. I usually use butter instead of Crisco and don't fold as many times, but I'm a gonna try it your way next time. I have some Golden Eagle Table Syrup to go with next time I make Biscuits and Gravy. I always fry one small piece of sausage in the pan to use for my gravy. I add a splash of Worcestershire sauce in the gravy too. But girl, I'd walk a mile to eat breakfast at your house. Thank you for sharing.

Try using the biscuit mix which already has the shortening in it. All you add is the milk. If you just used 1/4 cup mix and a few tablespoons of milk, you could make just a few biscuits.

I ordered the blending fork. I cannot wait to use it. I've never liked my "horseshoe" shaped pastry blender--because it is forever clogged during use, very messy to try and use. Thank you for all your great videos!

I didn't know that they still make blending forks today. I've seen references to them in older cookbooks (50+ years ago). That's one gadget I do not have and will need to buy, even though I don't really need it. I usually use an old fashioned pastry cutter for my biscuits. It works just as well. BTW, your biscuits look amazing. 😀
