Nice video man! What are the current regulations on ling and rock fish right now in Santa Cruz? Just got a boat and want to head out there soon!

Would love to see a segment on swell size (height vs. time) that is suitable for kayaking. Maybe how wind factors in. I use santa cruz swellinfo.. Thanks. Like more pre and post fishing content.

Thank you! I mostly just check the wind but for swell you basically want low swell (0-3 feet) every long amount of time (10 ish seconds). I focus much more on wind though

An interesting day on the water.

Nice video content. Question, do you require to carry a landing net on board while fishing in California water?

Yep, or have access to one close by.

I want to catch a ling or a striper… Reminder I’m going to be on your turf mid August…. 🍻 I recently went again with Anthony and he out fished me again with his slug vs my live sardines 😂🤔🤷🏽

Crookers, my go to bait fish. They are sturdy fish. They are fairly easy to catch (close to shore in the sand or out close to kelp). Let the stinger dangle. Heading to SC tomorrow!

I like them but don't catch many halibut on them. I dont think they are a hali favorite but they do well on lingcod

Agree, only for Ling's. Nice and cool today off Davenport!

I wasn't aware you can fish with 2 rods in the water.

Depends on where you are fishing and what fish you are targeting

Bait wise have not seen anything like this since 1999. On happier notes first BFT (tuna) showing and a couple WSB(Bass) went home for a lucky couple of kayakers
@FishermansChronicles Жыл бұрын
The bait seems to be rolling in now though, saw big schools of mackerel and sardines recently. A WSB this year would be awesome
@jimbo4612 Жыл бұрын
@@FishermansChronicles Keep working the early am high tides and you will get your WSB. bite is typically 6-9 am with the least amount of noise and light the best

Probably the same one keeps coming back. When you lose a lingcod always drop back down and hit ‘em again.

I think at least 2 were different. One of the 3 was way more blue than the others

I was trying to break it off but it wouldnt break easily. I ended up getting my swimbait back after the sea lion broke off

@@FishermansChronicles yeah the result was the best you could hope for. I would carry a divers knife in case you need it for this type of thing or in case you ever need to jam it into the head of a shark. 😂😂😂. Stay safe out there.
