How about the age-old one of banks tying pens so that we, their customers, who's money they are managing, don't 'steal' the 10 shilling pen, causing them great loss, and pain, for the financial year.

I think this is ok. Since they are not cheating the customer, but rather ensuring that all customers are conveniently served by having the pen always available. On the other hand, why do customers steal the pens? Isn't it just silly and petty?
