If you are in Europe, UK or Overseas Look for Zinsser B.I.N Shelac based if you can't find Kilz 2. I had an image for Zinsser 123 and that won't work as well as the B.I.N

NOT SURE IF YOU YOU WILL READ THIS....But I just wanted to say...THANK YOU so much for the wealth of information you share. I completely share your sentiment about not having art secrets and also encouraging people to just DO ART! I only started inks about 2 months ago...and I have definitely picked up help from what you have posted. THANKS again!

Of course I read my comments haha. No problem please share the channel I've been doing Alcohol ink for 8 years and noticed there was a need to spread the information as my art professors and teachers did for me. I'm glad you enjoy and took something from my videos

I can see the watercolour subtlety in your work. I am trying to emanate the alcohol colours that float across the canvas on paper with inks and tints. Then I saw a painting by another artist and could see the potential in alcohol inks. I watched a few videos and found yours. I have always gone back to abstracts as I find my flow in the process. It takes me about 24 hours per painting and now I have 12 which I am sure I can replicate in a wet on wet effect. I ve ordered the basic kit and I m excited to start for Christmas. I ve seen the linen canvases which are exhibition grade so I am going for it since I painted non stop for 4 weeks I have worked out my colours. I love the visceral feeling of painting on canvas and have never used a computer as it doesn t appeal to me. Thanks for this. My aim is to exhibit as a solo artist as I have 1 life and was denied doing art at school and pushed into Geography and a job straight away. It is strange as my sister went to Royal College of Art, is an amazing artist bit never exhibits or shows her work. Whereas I am desperate to share my work which is to engage the viewer in the colours of nature. I guess the passion and determination are half the battle. Thanks again

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I’m very new at painting and using alcohol inks. Actually I’m fearful of getting started. I like the look of art on canvas, therefore, pls let me know if you have a video on how to prepare the canvas. Thank you.

Again I appreciate you and God bless you for sharing your gift with us. I love your videos. I'm a self-taught artist. I have never been to school for art but I know it's a gift that I have in my hands. I've been to college and I'm educated but I've never been to school for art. Even though it's a gift I have I still search for videos that can teach me new techniques and better ways to use certain paints. You have taught me so much about alchohol inks and how to use them. I'm so grateful. My question is do you ever use liquid acrylic inks? If so, would you mind doing a video on a piece using liquid acrylic ink?

You mention plastic poster board in several of your videos. I have used Yupo and craft plastic. Is what you mention different? Is there a brand and where can I get it? Thank you!!
@AskariArt
@AskariArt 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Lynn, So the plastic poster board is actually not archival and I use it to practice. I find it in arts and crafts stores as just standard poster board for kids to do arts and crafts on. But the material of the poster board is actually plastic. If you're in the states you can buy it from Michaels for $2 a poster and they are roughly 18 in by 30 in
