For the pooling issue, I use a foam or wood block under the canvas to support the center. Love your work, this is gorgeous!

Ari - I’ve always been curious about alcohol ink painting and came across your channel. I almost switched it off when you mentioned you wear a respirator. Total intimidation! But, I decided to keep watching and I’m so glad I did. Your video was informative and fascinating at the same time. Thank you!!! One question..After priming the canvas with stain blocker (water based) - after painting with alkohol paint - can i then put oil paints on it ? After the alkohol dries completely

It just depends on what you mix with the oils, sometimes the oil based paints activate the alcohol inks. You may need to seal the alcohol inks before you start your oil painting

Hey Jos, I haven't yet I only use a Giotto Lens cleaner and a blow dryer. I will buy a air brush soon and demonstrate with it as well

Wa'alaikum Assalam! I use a white acrylic paint base that doesn't allow staining. The brand here is called kilz2. I have a video about how I prime my canvas'. The brand in Europe is called B.I.N Shellac Zisser. If you can find a paint that seals the canvas

What kind of paper do you use? Do you paste the yupo paper on canvas?

I mention in the video, I use canvas actual canvas. I only use yupo or plastic poster board for my small practice pieces. I have a video showing you how to prep a canvas for Alcohol ink painting.
