Hey John! Always love your videos. I love the fact that when I'm watching your stuff it doesn't feel like an infomercial for your sponsors. There's so much out there these days that every sponsor cant have something for every situation. It's great you're not trying to hide this fact. I love that you test out new baits and talk about trends. It's great because as a bait designer you can really give us the skinny. Keep up the good work.

Gika rig is one I don't talk about much today. I use one with a 1/8 oz. & I throw a Baby D Bomb on it. I pull off the small claws and dye the tips of big claws in orange. I've been using the ZMan Bulletz on your Ned Bombs during this time of year for 2 yrs now. They give the bait a different presentation more like a crawfish than a minnow. The Carolina rig weight you showed was interesting. Not one I would throw but now I'm not saying it is not one to consider, either. Happy Thanksgiving Mr Crews

Just ordered my Black Friday order from TW. Had to get some mini D Bombs. They had the colors I need, Shad Flash and my new favorite Superbug!! They're going on a new tungsten weighted mini jig I'm field testing. Here in the Ozarks,... they've not seen the likes of this here before!!! Even might try the crosseyed jig I got a month ago. Gotta get ready for work. Thank you for sharing! 👊👊

The Crews Missile dropping knowledge 💥bombs💥! That Cajun weight reminds me of the sinkers for the Lindy live bait rigs. Hope you, your family, and the whole Missile team have a great Thanksgiving.

My favorite bait to fish on the jika rig is a zoom speed craw. Caught a lot of fish on it. Excellent rig.

2 things I found with the Tokyo rig, ( wich I imagine would be the same with the Gika rig ) one is that it works really good in brush, if you get hung up the weight hanging down helps to shake it loose, I don't think I've ever had to break one off, two I would say that 95-99% of the fish are hooked in the top of the mouth. Initially I though it would be great for punching thick grass with a heavy weight, tried it this past summer and that would be a hard no!! lol But in and around brush, trees, docks I loved it! I'm gonna have to get some of those big blade chatterbaits, when the hydrilla gets closer to the surface in the summer it's not as easy as you would think to fish a regular chatterbait over it.

I have used both Tokyo rig and Geisha Rig. Haven't had any success but going to try use both during fall/winter transition. Since I live in Texas winter here is normally mild. But water temps down in low 50's so going to try fishing these I. Deeper water.

I’ll have to try those Cajun weights. Another one I’m going to try is the Lindy’s no snag weight. They even have a rattling one. What’s your go to c-rig plastics?

I started off with the Tokyo rig 2/3 years ago and quickly found I had a small advantage esp In club derbies. Found the more I put it in places normally wouldn’t started getting hung up or breaking off. Happen to run across this gika rig! 🤯 hadn’t fished a Tokyo rig since. Have at least 15 Tokyo vmc in the package. Actually room em out of the boat bc I’ve been smashing em on this gamakatsu version. Actually wished you hadn’t put the laser pointer focus on it! The 1/4 oz with baby d stroyer green pumpkin magic, love bug d bomb = dirty 30. Like taking a drop shot and putting it dead center of brush pile and actually getting it back, flipping a drop shot around lay downs blow downs stumps wherever really that you’d use tex rig or similar. I like the drop shot on steroids analogy!! Since you put em on notice put em blast might as well give it up and praise it. If you aren’t utilizing this thing to your advantage someone is taking advantage of you ! Equal the playing field- take a $50 bill go get you some baby d stroyer d bombs, and some 6.5 quivers in the bluetonium or hillbilly magic and several Packs of the gamakatsus and watch how fast you fill the box! I’ve been using the sunline sniper for 1/4 and shooter for rest but the sniper would do the job if don’t wanna buy 2 lines. Been running the 16lb with no issues. Good luck all, John, happy holidays and tight lines people! **gamakatsu and Missile plastics look great sticking out the top of the stocking barely hanging on the mantle

Hello John, I have a question off topic regarding your content. I was going through my inventory and I have a ton of D Bombs. I was thinking about mixing them into one of those plastic storage bags, but I’m not sure if the colors will bleed into each other. Your response will help immensely, thank you.
@JohnCrews3 жыл бұрын
Only a few of the D Bomb colors are dye colors that would bleed. Bruised Plum is one.
