Gemma Stafford i just want to report myself. After making the chocolate chip and chocolate coconut, I let my daughters and hubby have one each and I said I'll have mine for breakfast then I got up to pee at night and found myself finishing the cookies in front of an open fridge. I made a sandwich of the two types and became cookie monster

Honey can be warmed **(edited :even warming can be bad:, see link below) but never heated. I heard that it causes more poisons in the body. It causes health problems. Why not try maple syrup or jaggery. Many people , Most westerners and big companies dont know this. @@devfern2270 :: THANK YOU!! That's very important to know! I was thinking maybe heat the milk, but add the honey to it afterwards, stirring it in -- the heat from the milk should warm the honey enough to make it liquidy, w/o actually heating it up artificially. Along the lines of a double-boiler. Thx again!

@@piccolobella3945Hi. its a good thing you teplied. I think i need to edit my earlier comment for the benefit of others. After putting my comments iearlier, 7 was questioned. So i googled again to reconfirm and recommented somewhere in this forum. I encapsulate it below: I suggest you DO NOT WARM IT in a double boiler too . The reason .. Do see point no. 6 in the link below (Ayurveda is a deeper branch of medicine.) www.google.com/amp/s/m.timesofindia.com/life-style/health-fitness/health-news/alert-adding-honey-to-anything-warm-can-be-dangerous-for-you/amp_etphotostory/67129736.cms I suppose the best way is to swirl it with a metal spoon to generate its own heat, if you really must use honey. Or use it as is, as a binder. (The above is new to me.. as we nornally know that in can be put in lukewarm (not even hot) tea ) In these times when we need to have high immunity, why do otherwise from what these nature doctors (ayurvedic) say. All the best.
@piccolobella39454 жыл бұрын
@@devfern2270 :: wow, thx! I defly appreciate no the information. I wasn't aware of any of this... everybody puts it straight into hot tea, right?! And what I was suggesting was essentially a double boiler, as well. Honestly, I don't honey in recipes unless I absolutely have to; it's too subtle a flavor imo. Sometimes, tho, it's subtlety that's warranted. Thx again for the enlightenment. I just happened to watch this vid, & away we went! Be well.
