Your Best-Ever Brownie recipe is still one of my favorites even a year after I started baking from scratch. If my oven doesn't work, then I'll make these brownies on the stovetop. Hi Gemma! I don't know if you're gonna see this comment since this video is 2 years old but I shall document my experience anyway. In short: I love this recipe!! My family loves it and it will be brought to my grandma very soon. I bought hazelnut chocolate (because I don't know where to buy nuts here, especially with lockdown) without realizing it's milk chocolate and not dark chocolate so it's a little bit sweet even though I halved the brown sugar and substituted 1/3 of the flour for a cocoa powder mix. I also, unfortunately, did not have aluminum foil because the store near my house ran out of stock. So I only covered the brownie tin with a plate. The parchment paper was sticking out so in combination with not having foil, the brownie was kinda soggy and I was concerned it wasn't cooked even after 90 minutes because the chopstick that I used to test came out wet. But sure enough, it was just the condensation and it tasted amazing even if wet!!! I will definitely be making it again with dark chocolate, although I can't guarantee there will be foil. Thank you so much for the recipe!!!

Hi Regine. I think the water leaked into your pan. You need to cover this well to prevent that from happening. Also get the measurements of the ingredients in the recipe over at my website.
