A lot of bikers ride clutches on cars. My brother in-law tells me you're supposed to do that on a bike. He tried it on my car and I put an end to it right away. If nobody ever told this guy then it's not surprising.

@@VTOffRoadAdventures As a motorcycle rider, I can confirm. They have wet clutches, so you're supposed to slip the clutch at low speed. I've never driven a stick car, but I assume you just rev the engine up very slightly (maybe 1500rpm?) and just smoothly let the clutch out?

When I first started watching vinwiki about a year ago, I went from being really frugal driving a $5,000 car that was paid for to going and getting a loan on a $70,000 s class Mercedes. Ed should have gotten the bird dog on that sale.

My only problem watching these stories is, I am in the search for my first super car. When I hear stories about how someone loves their car I second guess what I have been really wanting forever, and may eventually end up with. I love Ferrari (F355, 458) , but I love the Aston and the GT3 and have been considering a Manual Gallardo, I am basing my decisions on reliability, looks and cost. Anyway thanks for the great stories, advice, and experiences with your cars.

Crazy how a *Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor* has always been my dream car and THIS YEAR (2019) I was able to get one for $4,500. May not be a full-blown muscle nor a 500 hp supercar but this 2011 Crown Vic is a fairweather, crowd-control beast... plus cops have to take a second guess rather to pull it over or let it go.

1. Have a realistic dream car that you realistically can afford.. Sorry no bugatti for most of us lol, also keep your needs in mind, if you drive a long way a tiny sports car as only car might not work so good after all, also use the market to your benefit, target the cars that offer the best value, and try to stay off the ones that dont 2. Have a job or get the money however you choose, try not to go to jail though.. 2. Eighter save to buy it cash or lease it (but never a 10+ yr payment plan, then its too much, in fact stay off financing its usually crappy and keeps you tied to the car for lots of years)

I know this is about buying but more economical cars like a 440i or M3 you can lease them or demo cars very cheaply if they are at the right time. Ie I've seen M4 CS leases for about 790 with 0 cap cost reduction since they are leftover and also old model being phased out soon with lots of trunk money. BMW demo cars can be very cheap relative to MSRP much less than 1% MSRP leases still with 10K miles but possibly 24 months for the higher residual.

4th path is just have a rather cheap but still rare dream car. I have my skyline r32 and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Just have realistic goals and dreams. even my Ferrari choice of car isnt a crazy one its a testarossa.
