I'm so glad you emphasized that the name of the game is *symptom management* and that this will look different for everyone! There is no evidence that we can "starve the SIBO" with our diet, and believing that we can do so will just lead to more disordered eating IMO.

Love your videos. Are heartburn and sibobrelated? All mine started with covid and using antibiotics for bronchitis. Ive lost lots of weight and cannot tolerate most foods major heartburn and bloating thank you! Oh and too much weight loss

@@ConfluenceNutrition thanks, but in normal situation we have a valve between stomach and small intestine ,why the gas came back to the stomack

@@saidanisse sometimes the valve is not functioning well, like if you have a hiatal hernia, or maybe low stomach acid. And gas being gas, it can put pressure on the valve as well.

I think one form of sibo is caused by food not going through the small intestine fast enough, so the meat proteins putrefy in the gut and bad bacteria take over. I think you'd realise pretty quickly if this was the case for you. Fish and leafy greens are another good option.
