The more effort we put into something without questioning and understanding it the more attached to the confusing “I’m right, I must be” we become, so pride starts to be the reason to keep going. 8:02

Good observation, I like that. When people build their life on the condition of being right, it makes a lot crash down when they aren't. I think people are afraid to admit that, even though most of the time no one actually cares that they are wrong.

What I would like to see on focus with the daily battles of distractions. For example, a noise room that you can't leave from till a certain amount of time, and not just sit there and wait till then. This would be nice. Also too have used my dollar general pocket notebook lolz, but it took way too much damage so I'll be using some extras I have already at home. Yes, it is always nice to purchase a new one to have that sparkle of motivation, but it is also useful to use what you have. Thank you for this video, very informative and good luck to whoever has entered ^_^

I like that idea, I will definitely try to work on a video like that in the future. I'm starting to realize that people want simple, not overly complex. I think I have a tendency to dig to far into the weeds and I forget to look at normal life. Like a noisy room. Thanks!

I just want this current year to end because it's been so hard for me, maybe because we endured some family hardship which made things difficult to handle and some goals difficult to achieve. Now I strive to set realistic personal goals for 2025. Can you also make a video about fighting procrastination and another about some plan B in case one's process of doing something is failing? Thanks in advance, Austin. 😊

Without a concrete example, breaking it down then i agree with you Austin.... you did over complicate it! A basic example with commentary on each step would have done it quicker than replaying the last part of your video three times to get to the point you were trying to make!! Still, i like the general direction you are going with your videos.... and it's obvious to see that a whole lot of reflection and analysis has gone into them. Keep going!! If will be worth it in the end!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I edited the whole video, watched it back and was like "wow there's a way simpler way to say that." lol But I didn't have time to redo the thing so I figured i'd try to salvage at least some of it at the end. Sorry!! I'll keep it simpler next time!

@@AustinSchrock come on! No need to be sorry. You're doing a great job. I have the exact same journal... and I use it slightly different from you... but that's ok. We have to find out what works for us as individuals.... it's not one size fits all here. We are all unique.... I learn best by linking what I know to what I want to know... and that takes a fair amount of experimentation. Don't be too hard on yourself Austin, you're figuring it out for yourself and it is an absolute pleasure to come along with you for the ride. There are some things you do and say that I've already tried and found they don't work for me.... others are new to me and your videos help me to question and think.... and I love that about them! From watching the " how I use my pocket notepad " video.... right up to today. I've really enjoyed the journey... and you have helped me a great deal.... to discover what works and what doesn't..... for me personally and subjectively. And that's what I love about your videos... the challenges they set and the info they convey. Keep going buddy. Your growing in character faster than most.... and it's wonderful to watch!!!!
