Hello Austin! Totally agree with you about the little black book! Years ago, when school spiral notebooks were 10 cents at Walmart, I would buy two dozen at a time. Kept one on the pillow next to me as I slept incase I needed to remember something in the middle of the night. Plus, took one everywhere with me like Linus' blankie. There's something about black ink on white ruled paper that's comforting, proper, perfect. Then I noticed, as you were scrolling on your laptop, that horrible black page with unnatural write print. How can YOU stand to look at it? Because, I simply can not. Normal is black print on white paper or screen. The reverse is even hard on your eyes, and shifting from one to the other is worse than having 4 cups of espresso. Makes me stutter. As soon as you find, and buy, a mini notebook with black pages and a pen that writes white ------ do a video on that.

About more than a year ago this video got recommended to me. It really got me started with noting and journaling ! I've tried different methods of note taking but this one really helped, having a cheap notebook that you can carry around is amazing. I used a very tiny one to fit in my pocket, but as I ended up always carrying it in my backpack that I always have with me, I went for a little bigger one that gives a better slightly better writing experience. So thank a lot, it really helped !

Sorry to see that your generation also forgets things, but I am glad knowing that it is not just me and us older people who are losing it. I have lists of things to do but it seems that you also write thoughts and ideas.

Self-improvement isn't about being rigid or rushing into what you have to do just for the sake of it, I think it's actually about self-consciousness, the desire to do and grow in what you really want, and using the right approach(es) that may work best for you. I'm now getting the hang of learning a new language step by step aside from English. This 2025 is going to be different as I planned short before the last year ended. Keep moving forward, Austin. 😊

I don't know how you study Spanish, but I'd recommend downloading Duocards and/or Duolingo. I don't use either as my main learning material, but the days when I don't have time/energy, I just make sure I do a single lesson on Duolingo since it's only like 3 minutes at most. On Duocards I just make sure I remove at least one word from the "To learn" section, which usually doesn't even take a full minute for me

Oh yeah. They’re oddly satisfying. Especially when copying notes onto a page or envelope or index cards. And the old electric ones are extremely energy efficient. Plugged mine into a UPS, that normally gives me 5 minutes or so to shutdown my computer, will run for a LONG time powering my typewriter. I never would have guessed that.

Ive used the pocket notebook a lot in the past, but for life visioning, strategizing, and plan (and SOP) making, I needed something within I could rearrage the pages. Right now on a thin, but full size, binder. Sucks though it can't go everywhere with me.

(Little vent here, sorry) Me being the youngest girl in the family with 3 older brothers, I used to be locked in bathrooms for hours because I was scared and my brothers would target me and call me specifically weak because I was a girl. They'd always put me down and make me feel bad about who I was. I was scared to ask my parents for help because my mother just said, "You'll get over it," and my dad just was going through stuff himself. I had nobody and had to depend on my oldest brother who just used my body when nobody was around, if I didn't let him he wouldn't help me with anything else and let my other brothers hurt and abuse me. Being the youngest daughter sucks. My dad told me he thought it was me who left the cap on the bottle because "I was a girl and I was weak" and it made me feel really bad. Of course, my dad says he talks to my other brother then continues to specifically say mean things to me and let my brother do it too. They have always been like this and I never caught a break. I'm kinda tired of being treated like this because it hurts me a lot.
